Man, I am loving this game.
This is easily the best boxing game I've ever played.
From the physics, graphics, AI to Legacy Mode I'm going to be playing this bad-boy for a long, long time.
The best thing about this game is that it captures the nuances of the sweet science far greater than its predecessors.

For example; in previous boxing games, the goal was to simply hit your opponent more than you are hit and when their health meter gets to 0, the man goes 'boom'. ... Read More

A few weeks ago a very lucky select few were given the opportunity to attend EA's Fight Night Round 4 Community Event.
It's finally time to talk about our hands-on experiences with the game.

Controls

Let’s get this out of the way. There will be no button mashing this year because the buttons will not be used for standard punches. I know that half of you are rejoicing while the other half are seething in anger.
Trust me when I say that a good number of ... Read More

A large variety of boxing games have come and gone over the generations. From the humble beginnings of Activision's "Boxing" for the Atari 2600 to EA's "Fight Night Round 3", the pixilated pugilist has grown in leaps and bounds.
However, with the upgrade in console hardware very few games capturing the sweet science have had success in defining the variety of fighting styles that exist in real life.
That is all about to change.

Just like in real life, there are a wide ... Read More

This has been something the EA team and community have been touting for quite some time. However, until you actually see it in motion, it's hard to grasp how incredible the physics are, or how they can affect a fight.

I can't get into specifics because of the NDA we Community Leaders had to sign, but I'll try my best to describe how life-like the physics make this game work.

One really cool thing about ... Read More

Graphics & Motion

The first time I had the privilege to see this game in action, I was immediately struck with a sense of authenticity.

From skin tone, muscles – both flexed and relaxed – robes, trunks, facial expressions; at times it seems you’re watching a real fight.
Seeing Tyson’s classic solid-black trunks sway and move with the action was hypnotic.
You’ll also find yourself staring at the smallest of details such as the tape wrapped around each ... Read More

Where to begin?
Actually, for me, the EA experience kicked off while sitting in a Dallas airport on route to Vancouver.
After finding my departure gate, I look up and see a familiar face. I had to do a double-take until I realized it was Jason Thompson from the EA Tiburon, Orlando team. I had recognized him from a recent video that was posted on the EASports official Fight Night website, http://fightnight.easports.com/.

After introducing myself, he brought me over ... Read More
