Jacksonville Jaguars Unveil New Logo

Yes whether you like it or not the Jags have changed their logo to what they call, "the new symbol of the new generation." Ehh not quite. Here's the "new" jaguar head logo:

Basically it's the old logo, but more modern I guess. I feel like if you're going to release a new logo at least be more creative about it. When they hinted at a change much like the one the Seahawks did I wasn't expecting much. But the Seahawks improved their logo by getting rid of the lime green and changing it to a greyish silverish color. Was it a great improvement? No, but a decent change to an already well established logo.

I don't fault the Jags so much because I understand there really isn't too much you can do with a Jaguar logo, but adding teal and taking away the black doesn't really add anything to the logo. I feel like it's more of a "let's forget about the past few years" kind of thing, like what the Lions did after their 0-16 season.

Nonetheless the Jaguars new logo doesn't appeal to me at all. I didn't care too much for the old logo, but this just feels cartoonish and uninspired. At least the old logo looked fearsome. This looks more like a disgruntled jaguar about to make a complaint but in a very unnecessarily loud way. Perhaps the new uniforms will give new life to this slowly fading franchise.
