Winter Wolves Ace CL's Best Pitcher
Friday, November 20th, 2144: He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Teun Victorie performed like a veteran on the hill for the Halifax Winter Wolves and walked away with the Continental League Gabriel Prado Award in the process. The 25-year-old Winter Wolves star fashioned a 17-10 won-loss record in 2144 with a 2.29 ERA. In 224 innings of work and 33 starts, Victorie struck out 197 while giving up 179 hits and 54 walks. He held opposing batters to a .219 average. 2144 RL Gabriel Prado Award Announced Friday, November 20th, 2144: The Gabriel Prado Award for 2144 has been presented and the Republic League winner is Alonso Pérez of Colorado. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Pérez. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Rancheros star told reporters. Pérez excelled with an impressive 18-8 record in 31 starts. In 216 innings he yielded 206 hits and 28 walks, while striking out 189 and compiling a fine 2.71 ERA. |

Saturday, November 21st, 2144: Pung-cho Kim of the Noblesville Millers proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Continental League Hideaki Tanaka Award. Kim hit for a .358 average while collecting 224 hits, 34 doubles, 5 triples, 26 home runs, 90 RBIs and scoring 103 times. RL Announces Outstanding Batter Award Saturday, November 21st, 2144: Today Hartford's Bryan Huff was named the Republic League Hideaki Tanaka Award winner for 2144. He pounded RL hurlers hard all season long, collecting 222 hits in 653 at-bats. With a .340 batting average, 30 doubles, 1 triple, 48 home runs, 172 RBIs and 114 runs scored, he was the top votegetter. |
