Ok, so we've got two new owners. We welcome two fast-sim veterans to the SLOP rolls. Syracuse will welcome spleen1015 and Rio Grande will get veteran owner Tellisto to this reins.

We're lucky to have such accomplished owners to go with our already impressive roster.

Just FYI if you haven't exported and wanted to, you have another hour (possibly longer, but I won't note when I start after that) because I need to do some other stuff.

Ok, half-season ran without spoilers. Mid-season break time. Please set your draft lists for tonight's file. You can make trades tonight and can offer make PUBLIC BIDS for major league free agents. That is, the only FAs you can sign during the mid-season break are the kind that will be on your ML roster for the rest of the year and all bids must be posted in this thread publicly.

A very, very interesting first half with business as usual in the NL and some regime change in the AL as we approach the deadline. It'd be great to see some dealing though I realize the cap constraints are going to prevent widespread player movement but I think if teams that are needing a strong second half to get into contention do some investigating they might find that the lower-half of the market would be receptive to picks/taking on salary if the trade sweetener was worthwhile enough.

Lots of win-wins out there to be had!

heh - I think one of my MR went from Dick something to Dick Smith - I never had a Dick Smith before.

double heh - my legacy player is now named Smith Bryant.

If you notice messed up names on your roster, it's due to the problem that happened when I was trying to add new people to the file. I was trying to make the file smaller, didn't include the names.dat file and it caused that issue. I've tried to fix what I noticed, but if I missed someone (the person will be named "Unknown" or "Smith") then let me know and I will fix it.

I have fixed most of these. So if you download the latest file on the server, it'll update your names.dat file and the names will now be correct, as I fixed the majority of them last night...but if you didn't download the new file yet, you won't see the name changes and even if you did, download again anyway.

4th place and a $99m payroll wasn't getting it done I didn't think we would be that bad but Syracuse and Memphis have our number and New York is decent too so its time to go into rebuild mode. Normally i just let the AI draft for me but this year it looks like we actually have real talent to select from. gg to work but I've exported.

Your exports will not be affected by the name changes. OOTP exports only fail if the day changes. So long as it's the same day and my machine has the latest file, it won't matter..your exports will be fine. Just an FYI.

Guessing I am the only one with issues with the league file? No new file on my end, still sitting at end of ST date.

Dammmn, I keep being kept late and work and not getting home in time to export. I think I need to change my routine around so I don't miss anymore draft sims :(

So the season is done and run a bit belatedly because I wasn't able to get a computer until I got home today. File is up now. We'll run the post-season on Monday night.

Something is odd ... All my players have stats for an entire season, but when I go to standings it's only 86 games games into the season? What's the deal? Anyone else have this problem?

That's extremely strange and I can't put a finger on why you might be having that problem. But if you -- or anyone else -- has this problem, please download these two files:

The first you copy over all of the files in your slop.lg folder and the second, put into accountsdata_gms.dat file your slop.lg/settings/ and copy over the old one.

Nothing else would make any sense that I know of...but I hope that will solve it. Once you've done that, you can go ahead and try to download the league file again and update the images.

Well I will wait to see what happens next time I load a league file .. When is the next sim and what is it ... the playoffs ?

Worked fine for me. Sounds like the download was corrupted - is it possible you downloaded it before it was completely uploaded?

Those extra FAs from last offseason sure look nice now - Syracuse got a huge boost from three of them.

Yeah and if you compare the contracts they got to the ones handed out to the previous top players prior to them randomly joining the league mid free agency... It really sucks for the teams who dished out those huge contracts for what at the time was considered a top player. Now they are paying huge dollars for average players.

The steroid era is alive and well in SLOP :)

That appears to be true because Takahashi was still a free agent at the time the announcement was made that the studs would be deleted. I know for a fact that I saw him in the FA pool and didn't bid assuming that he would be deleted.

Also on a side note... what was the deal with the rookie draft pool this season? It was abnormal for sure.
