CL Relief Ace Jones Named Best Hurler

Frank Jones put together a very solid month to take home the Continental League's top pitching honor in September.
The 24-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In no relief appearances he raked in no saves and 20 strikeouts in 40.2 innings as he put together his 5-0 record and 1.55 ERA.
For the year
Jones has collected no saves in no relief appearances. He has also notched 123 strikeouts and 51 walks in 207.1 innings while registering a 3.86 ERA and a 16-11 won-lost record.
Ann Arbor Starter Wins September's Pitcher Award
Saturday, October 1st, 2146: The Republic League announced today that
Ben Gibson has been chosen the league's Pitcher of the Month. The
Ann Arbor starter had everything working for him last month as he glided to a 5-1 record.
In September Gibson chalked up a 2.64 ERA in 44.1 innings with 26 strikeouts and 7 walks.
On the season
Gibson has compiled a 16-9 mark with a 3.23 ERA in 31 starts. In pitching 206 innings he has 121 strikeouts and 41 walks while limiting the opposition to a .281 batting average.
