That would be a sort of an out-clause for a team that hasnīt used it yet and trades for him, just see for a season what he has left in another situation and then make a decicion next year.

If you're referring to the Knicks, as far as I know, you can only amnesty one contract anyway, and they already did that with Chauncey Billups.
