António Jiménez helped his contract negotiations by nabbing September's Continental League Batter of the Month honors.
The
Manchester catcher put together a .369 batting average with 11 home runs, 25 RBIs and 25 runs scored.
Someone will surely be opening up the vault this offseason if
Jiménez continues at this brisk pace.
Jiménez has collected 148 hits for the
Terriers this year, 26 of them home runs. He has also netted 79 RBIs and scored 89 runs while batting .272.
Horiuchi Crowned Batter of the Month in September

Eichiro Horiuchi let his bat do the talking in September and the Republic League heard him loud and clear. He made plenty of noise as he put together a .378 batting average and was named the top hitter of the month.
Horiuchi's month to remember saw him accumulate 42 hits, 8 home runs, 25 RBI, 22 runs, 5 walks and a .410 on-base percentage.
For the season
Horiuchi has produced 197 hits in 650 at-bats for a .303 average with 46 home runs and gotten on base at a .328 clip.
