Seriously. And our first home game? 19 people showed up. More folks on the pitch than in the stands.
vs AFC Hurst (Sommerville Challenge Cup Second Round)
G: Fraser Meldrum
D: Tom Thorne/Josh England/Harry Seal (all three DCs)
WBL: Flynn Tarman
M: Mickey Greening/Bradley Della Verde/Lewis Soraf/Orlando Joao
S: Alex Theobald/Edwin Ahenkorah
46[ -
Joao intercepts a cross-field pass and passes it to
Soraf for the longball finding
Theobald. Short pass up to the attacking
Tarman, and far post cross has unmarked
Ahenkorah banking in the shot just before halftime.
1-0
51 -
Hook for tired
Soraf;
Richardson for equal
Thorne. We dialed back to Standard at the half, by the way.
82 - Injury to
Seal is playable, but we're on a knife's edge. On pops
Parrott and we go Defensive to try and close this out.
We played better overall in our draw last time out, but
Flynn Tarman snags PotM with his 7.6 rating, and
Josh England posts a 7.5.
Alex Theobald, who had an 8.3 last game out, rounds out the 7s with a 7.0.
So we're on to the quarterfinals. BTW,
Diego Maradona's days aren't going down any, and I'm not sure why.
Harry Seal's nasty bruise may keep him out of our next game. Can't wait to get our best player back. Having him knocked out for so long has definitely cramped our style.
