Young - 4 year starter who had a terrific Freshman season (1154 yards), but struggled with injuries towards the end of his Sophomore and Junior years. He rebounded as a Senior (1238 yards) and was key in our undefeated season. Finished with 3816 yards rushing, 34 TD and 105 catches, 1161 yards, 10 TD.

Pete Newsome - He was finally the guy who took our passing game to the next level. I put him in as a Redshirt Freshman and he did struggle a bit (52.7% comp, 20 TD-18 INT), but that was essential to his development. He put up huge numbers his next two years and was on track for the Heisman in his Senior year, until an injury ended his college career.

Korey Newsome - Had a terrific Freshman season, catching 52 passes for 992 yards and 11 TD. He violated team rules after our bowl game, so I suspended. That angered him enough to leave the team.

Morton - A 4 year starter and a terrific performer all 4 years. Was an especially good run blocker, tallying 124 Key Run Blocks in his career.

Gotchy - Another 4 year starter, who steadily improved until making All-American 1st Team as a Junior. Also All-American 2nd as a Senior. He finished with 217 catches, 3913 yards, and 34 TD.

Schonmann - 4 year starter and a superior pass blocker. Was very good his whole career, but had an amazing Senior year in which he only allowed 2 sacks in 346 pass plays.

McGregor - Graduated last season because he played as a true Freshman. 4 year starter who had 70 catches, 846 yards, and 7 TD in his career.

Foreman - Never made the starting lineup, but saw plenty of action as the nickel corner, and performed incredibly well in that role. He tallied 18 INT's and 4 TD in his career.

Tarver - Huge disappointment who barely saw any playing time at all. Wasted potential because he couldn't develop.

Gilman - A 4 year starter who was a terrific performer throughout his career. He was 1st Team All-Conference as a Senior and finished with 197 tackles, 73 assists, 31 TFL, and 6 INT.

Grier - Another guy who left potential on the table because he couldn't develop. Never started a game in his career. Managed 3 INT's and 1 TD in backup duty.

Warren - Finally cracked the starting lineup as a Senior and came away with 19 tackles and 8 sacks.

Diefendorf - Recruited as a last minute bid for depth, he was only on the field for 4 plays in his entire career.

Lyon - Three year starter more due to lack of options than any consistent performance. Only had 12.5 sacks in his career.

Fields - Started for 1 year as a Sophomore, but had more success the next 2 years as the passing down specialist, tallying 6 sacks as a Senior.
