From earlier this week ...
Basically the suspect remained hospitalized until a couple days ago and the DA seems to have doubts whether he'll ever recover enough to stand trial. That probably cooled the information flow (since he hasn't been brought to court and the cases remains in the hands of the juvenile system until then)
