I don't see how he survives a catastrophic intelligence and defense failure of this magnitude. I would say a large part of his military strategy right now is to try to extend this war as long as possible because the country is going to be hesitant to through the instability of replacing him while they are actively fighting. Of course, extending the war and the level of devastation Israel has visited upon Gaza is playing right into the hands of Hamas. Hamas is winning this conflict in every way so far.
