Reginald Oprel of the Rancheros humbled hitters all season long and today celebrated as he hauled in the Republic League Pitcher of the Year trophy, the coveted Gabriel Prado Award.
The
Colorado hurler held opposing hitters to a .214 batting average while putting up a 22-3 record and a 2.24 earned run average. He started 32 games, pitched 237 innings and struck out 183.
