MLB
The Orioles win 7 of 9 to move into 1st place alone at 12-4. The Astros are 1 back at 11-5 and the Pirates and Giants round out the current playoff teams at 10-6. At the other end of the spectrum are the 3-13 White Sox and the 5-11 A's. The Dodgers are at the edge of trouble at 6-10.

Matt Overfelt of the Houston Astros is a leading MVP candidate as he is hitting .431 with 7 home runs and 20 RBI's. Jerry Koosman of the Atlanta Braves has been a pitcher to watch at 5-1 with an ERA of 1.75.


IL
The Cleveland Indians are two games clear as league leaders at 14-2. The Washington Senators and Boston Red Sox are 12-4 with the Montreal Expos and Seattle Pilots at 11-5. The Syracuse Chiefs and Columbus Jets bring up the bottom of the league at 3-13. The Chiefs have lost 11 straight.

Manny Mota has been hitting everything he sees with a .487 average to lead the league, he has 37 hits in 16 games. Cleveland Indians' Gustavo Herrera has been untouchable so far as he is 7-0 with and ERA of 1.48.


AA
The Albuquerque Dodgers and Indianapolis Indians lead the way with a 12-4 record. In current playoff position are the 11-5 Elmira Pioneers, 10-6 Oklahoma City 89ers and the 9-7 Rochester Red Wings and Louisville Colonels. The Reading Phillies are in last at 3-13 with the Tacoma Cubs also in relegation territory at 5-11.

Louisville Colonel Ken Harrelson is dominating the league with a .441 average and 15 home runs with 33 RBI's and 20 runs scored in 16 games. Ron Perranoski of the Albuquerque Dodgers is 5-0 with a 2.97 ERA and even has a save.


PCL
The Modesto Reds lead the league at 12-4 with the Shreveport Braves, Denver Bears and Ashveille Tourists all at 11-5. The San Jose Bees are currently in the last playoff spot at 9-7. At the back end are the Montgomery Rebels at 4-12 and the 5-11 Manchester Yankees.

George Lott of the Pittsfield Red Sox leads the league in hitting at .356, home runs with 10, RBI's with 25 and runs scored with 14. There has been a lot of solid pitching but no one pitcher really stands out presently.


EL
The Aberdeen Pheasants are 3 games clear of the pack at 13-3. The Kinston Eagles, Visilia Mets and Raleigh-Durham Phillies are 10-6 with a group of 9-7 teams fighting for playoff positions. The Lodi Crushers are 3-13 at the bottom of the league with the Penninsula Astros at 5-11.

Tony La Rusa was leading the league with a .500 average when he was bought by the Atlanta Braves and has moved to the MLB level this month. No pitcher is standing out above the rest.


SOUL
The Daytona Beach Dodgers lead the league at 13-3. The Fresno Giants are alone in second at 10-6 with several 9-7 teams fighting for a chance at promotion. The Huran Cubs are 5-11 with both the Quincy Cubs and the Burlington Bees at 6-10.

Hank McGraw of the Daytona Beach Dodgers is hitting .328 with 13 home runs and 27 RBI's. There are several 5 win pitchers but none are standing out.


TL
The Shelby Senators are 11-5 with the 11-5 Winnipeg Goldeneyes one game back at 10-6. 5 teams are chasing at 9-7. At the bottom are the Oneonta Yankees, Salem Rebels and Jamestown Falcons all at 6-10.

Ed Hermann of the Shelby Senators is hitting .508 with 32 hits, 12 home runs, 21 RBI's and 19 runs scored. Reliever Sal Campisi has been nearly untouchable as he is 1-0 with 2 saves and an 0.00 ERA having allowed just 7 hits in 16.2 innings.


CALL
The Corning Royals have yet to lose as they are 16-0. The Arizona Diamondbacks are 11-5. Behind them are the Fort Lauderdale Yankees, Batavia Trojans and West Palm Beach Expos all at 10-6. In trouble are the 2-14 Toronto Blue Jays and the 4-12 Auburn Twins (who have lost 10 straight).


CARL
The Frederick Keys lead at 11-5. The Augusta Greenjackets, South Bend Cubs, Tampa Bay Rays and Wichita Pilots are all 10-6 and are currently the playoff teams. The 4-12 Magic Valley Cowboys and 5-11 Texas Rangers are at the bottom.


MIDW
The Salt Lake City Bees lead the league at 13-3. The Covington Astros, Great Falls Giants, Everett Aquasox and Bristol Tigers are 11-5. The Las Vegas 51s are the bottom team in the bottom division at 3-13.
