To be fair, he had asked me a question via PM that I didn't see or answer until about an hour ago. I should probably post the summary here, for the record, since we seem to get this question every year.

He asked against Heyward since he's not in the Yahoo pool. We've had this happen in the past and I've maintained that I don't really want to keep two separate lists so if a player is not in the Yahoo pool, they're not draftable in this league. I'm sure he'll be added to the waiver wire in the first week or two and he will have to be added through those means and the waiver wire order will matter most there.

Not sure if he was added to the pool but i know i stayed away because of this.

We can't take Heyward because he isn't in the Yahoo pool yet. I think Travis will get him because he'll have the top waiver claim since he had the last pick.

Depends on how long until he's put into the system. I'm assuming we'll get through our first week of play before he's added so the waiver system would reset to the scores of the first week (or whichever week he's added in).

Here's the thing-- Heyward *should* be in the game now since guys like Stephen Strasburg and Hector Rondon, players that haven't yet made their MLB debuts, are in the player pool. Yahoo should either add Heyward or remove guys like Strasburg until they make their debuts. They should be consistent about it.
