Well, didn't gain any ground on Toronto by the 9th.. so now I'm hoping to hold on to the slim lead the rest of the way.

I need to start paying Cringer off or something. He's always tough on me in September it seems.

The schedule has a very slight edge for me now from here on out as I have 2 games left vs Rio Grande and 3 vs Baltimore, while Toronto has 2 vs Baltimore and 3 vs Rio Grande. The thing that evens it out is their games will be in Toronto and mine are all on the road.

Just for the uninitiated, if there is a tie after the regular season, a best of five game series takes place immediately after. I don't stop or allow re-exports, it's part of the regular season and gets simmed immediately after the regular season after one day off.

Toronto went 10-3 down the stretch (and 18-10 in August) to get to this point. So....no matter what happens, mad props to them. Valdosta went 7-7 and 15-12 in August.

I'd like to know how Hernandez did for me this year as a rookie so I can guess if I even have a chance

I pretty much assumed this would be the end result by the 9th though. I knew I had to have the division sewn up by then or I wouldn't win it. Will be fun to dig through the numbers and see where my team failed. I took chances on a ton of new players this year, so I'm sure a few of them didn't work out as hoped.

The way I set up my pitching rotation, I can tell you exactly which games were pitched by whom during the september day by day stretch. Without seeing the results, I'm going to guess that Gonzales pitched well this year, O'Neil did not, Wilson did ok and no idea about Garner.
