So, the three detectives (Chief Rum, Saldana and myself) are the closest to dead at the moment. The three of us could be concentrated on Investigating Paperwork for six units. That way, at least two people would have to be cultists on the other two actions to make them fail.

Though, britrock only has one more hp than me, so I wouldn't mind having him healed instead.

I should have kept track but I'm fairly certain everyone in the game has been injured at some point. JAG is the only person looking through the list that I don't necessarily recall having to heal.

I was just going to suggest the smae thing. Have all three detectives heal and do paperwork, that maximizes our workers.

I believe CF and I were among the first players injured. I know Chief put me in convalescence, though I don't think I've been injured since then.

One thing I was just thinking though...we may not have any idea if the people dying are cultists or villagers (other than ntn). If you look at page 1, it says they died but doesn't give an indication if they were cultists or villagers when they died. That might be because no cultists have died of course, but just throwing that thought out there.

Sounds like you all are doing good work analyzing the RPG aspects of the game. I'm okay being convalesced or not, seeing that I'm probably the 3rd or 4th priority in that regard.

tyke isn't still in there - out with the extra HP gained form gaining a level increased the heal rate

JAG and Danny are the only ones who haven't been injured since night 3, the night before either JAG or two of britrock, Autumn, Simbo, boo, saldana and myself sabotaged the quest action.

As soon as I read that, I shook my head. Still, everyone started the game as good and there were still 25% of us that secretly worked for the railroad, so unless they secretly had a higher rate of conversion, I don't know exactly how that fits in.

Today you move out and get ready to investigate the Chesapeake and Ohio railroad. You split up into three tasks.


The ones investigating the local offices quickly discover that all of the key information about the company that they need is in Charleston. Here are just dummy documents and boring stuff.


The local documents show that most of Thurmond belongs to the company, as you already knew. You also find some minor pieces of information, but nothing major.


However,r the task to Charleston is unsuccessful. There was not enough work to compete that task and so you are unable to find anything.



Tomorrow you'll have to try again.


Day Eight task failed.

Damn, well that's a bold move. Only three of us to choose from and someone fakes. Gut says that it would be CW - if he's converted since he was scanned he'll feel sure that he's the last of the three to get lynched. JAG's been putting a lot of work in for the village, but a cultist JAG is maybe hoping that will keep him around longer.

Do we think the first task was designed to be a dud, or does that indicate that it got meddled with? The second seems to have essentially taught us nothing as well. No indication that there wasn't "enough work" as in the third, but still a bit screwy that we get nothing out of any of the tasks.

Another point not in CW's favor - after he read the book I believe was the human sacrifice. Abe had warned that bad things would happen if the cult got their hands on the book. No way of knowing what the mechanic is there, but possibly something circumstantial.

We know CW's with the C&O already. I wouldn't be surprised if the endgame involves toppling that railroad in some respect, given the trains' importance to the town.

That said, what's the harm in keeping known baddies around? They can't coordinate; they can't do much more to thwart the group (that we know of) than by faking work...

Both jobs that have failed have had me, JAG, and Autumn on it.

If you can assume the person who scanned me after that was on the level, I was not a cultist at that time. Meaning someone else in that list was. Now we have another failed task with 3 of the same people on it.

Yes, I could have been converted after that. I wasn't, but it's irrelevant in my point. Either JAG or Autumn, or both, is absolutely a cultist.

As far as the C&O goes, I don't think I'm actually PART of C&O, more just I'm being heavily paid by them.

For the reporter:
I have no idea what the motives of C&O are, nor am I, to my understanding, part of their work.

And Autumn...wouldn't I be like...dead if I was a human sacrifice?
