Thanks for the info larry.

That was the infamous Denny Green blowup game. The Cards took a 23-3 lead and went into a prevent offense. They were just running out the clock and praying they could hold on. Edgerrin's game is even worse when you consider his critical 4th quarter fumble.

No problem. The PFR play index is a fun tool to play with to find oddities like that.

After he eluded the blitzer any marginal high school qb could have made that throw easily. Tebow threw it way too hard and completely off target. That catch Williams made on that was amazing. I have no idea how he was able come up with it at the speed Tebow threw that ball. Its not like he had a tight window to fit that in.

Aaron Rodgers should just change his name to QB Robot X or something like that.

Amazing to see the turnaround from the Chiefs. They're looking like the division champs of last year now. Playing with a ton of confidence. Great part for the Chiefs is that their divisional remaining schedule is very favorable:

Home: Raiders, Chargers, Broncos
Road: Broncos

We'll see if they can keep it up.

Its crazy.. I am sure the only throws Palmer can make anymore are dumpoffs, sideline comebacks, and short out routes.

Palmer looks terrrrrrible. He hasn't played in a while, so it could just be rust, but not a good start.

Combined 0 TDs and 7 INTs in the Raiders/Chiefs match up. Has to rank rather high in terms of most INTs without a TD.

I was gonna say, I had intramural games in college where I hit guys for bombs in-stride (one in a fantastic back-and-forth 41-38 style shootout). And I was no NFL quarterback, that's for sure.

Decent drive for Ponder. He's showing lots of good things to go along with the bad. I will be interested to see how he develops for the remainder of the season. On the second pick to Woodson, he's got to know that it's Woodson there and that he undercuts EVERYTHING, so he needs to float the ball over his receivers shoulders. That's stuff you learn as you go..

Make that 8 INTs. I hope whoever in Grantland's Bad QB League had the Raiders started the them today.

This one was harder to look up, but it looks like the record is a Lions-Redskins game from 1965 where the QB's combined for 10 INT's and 0 TD's.

But with the 8th INT, it does look like it ties the modern record set in 1982 by the Bills-Dolphins and matched in 1987 by the Chargers-Broncos.

I think Palmer will be a little better than this, but I definitely think he's in that group of NFL QBs ranked 15-40 or so that really aren't that different from each other and can do OK or suck depending on the team and system....Kyle Boller is probably in that group too.

The first part of your statement is certainly arguable. The second part is not. Boller should be out of the NFL

It will be interesting to see who they would target as a team to go to considering a number of bad teams will have new coaching staffs.

Why would any coach, or any player, lose games on purpose when none of them would likely be anywhere near the franchise down the road when and if the #1 pick pays off? I've never understood why so many people claim this happens. I can see a new GM with job security have a younger team when they're not going to be that good, with the idea that you can develop players and probably get a high draft pick (and hold onto your job by claiming you're "rebuilding"), but I never bought that coaches and players are actually tanking games.

Time to take off my Colts colored glasses. I don't think this team would be very good with Manning healthy. The defense can't stop anyone.

I know he's doing well in this game, but I have to admit Ingram has been disappointing so far. Before this game, he had 71 att., 238 yards(3.3 ave), and 3 TDs. Compare this to 47 att., 207 yards(4.4), and 6 TDs....by Cam Newton.

The funny thing is though, that I think Manning's injury and the team's performance this year cement his legacy more than if had been healthy and had a good season.
