I'm a 49er fan, and I'm embarrassed that we could very well be going to the playoffs with a 7-9 record. I'm not interested in my team being a statistical anomaly.

At least with the Eagles and Detroit winning, when the Packers lose tonight to the Pats, it isn't a killer. If they win vs the Giants and Bears at home, they go to the playoffs.

He got lucky on the TD to Lloyd. He also threw a picture perfect pass in the end zone that was dropped.

I think the overriding story of this game was simply how bad Denver's offensive line played.

Denver running backs had 25 carries for 28 yards. 20 of those yards came on three carries. Take them away and you have 22 carries for 8 yards.

Tebow dropped back for an actual pass 19 times today. He threw 16 passes, ran for yardage once and hit the deck twice. He had 78 yards rushing and 72 of those yards were on designed runs.

Where am I going with this? Out of those 19 drop backs, he had time to actually make a read three times. (watch the tape if you don't believe me) I'm not talking about the pocket collapsing, I'm talking about Raiders flying in unblocked all day.

I don't have the coaches tape where I can see missed reads and things of that nature. But of the incomplete passes that were thrown, he had 1 horribly unlucky drop (very, very nice throw), 1 other drop, 3 screen passes that were blown up by the Raiders and had no chance of completion, 2 pressured throws that were poorly thrown and 1 time where he threw the ball away.

Of the 8 completions he had, 1 was incredibly lucky (TD to Lloyd) and 7 of them were solid passes. Included in the solid passes was a deep crossing route to Gafney and an opposite hash deep out route to Lloyd that was thrown very well.

Honestly, I just want to see the kid play more and try to throw away the hype and the hatred of him and see what happens. If I had to make a prediction, I'll say he busts. That said, his arm strength is a hell of a lot better than anyone gives him credit for. (In fact, I'd call it well above average arm strength) I also was impressed that he didn't just try to run when the pocket collapsed. He stayed in there and tried to make throws. The game plan was ultra conservative and we need to see how he adjusts to the speed of the game now that he's going to have some time to look at the film.

All in all, I'd give him a B and the Broncos offensive line an F-

That was posted before the dropped TD pass and the nice 20 yard deep out to Lloyd.

He was better than I expected today. The most impressive part was, as I mentioned, his feel for the screens and short passes. Arm strength is much, much better than he showed at UF.

Any kid with pro dreams needs to take a look at what Tebow was at UF and wonder if he got any coaching at all there.

Of course I remember there was some news about a certain HC at UF leaving or something so I don't guess it matters anymore.

I think time expired long before Jackson got near the end zone. Just check the video on YouTube and he was crossing the 25 yard line when the clock went to zero (although he probably didn't look up to check the time).

Despite the TD and a couple of decent catches, Spaeth is high on my list of Steelers that need cut on the first day of the offseason.

Brady nearly got killed there. You don't see a guy get a full head of steam running directly at the QB often.

Basically every time him and even Heath run with the ball, I cringe cause they're flopping around like a couple jackasses out there. You aren't Kellen Winslow, catch the ball and get down.

Now I feel better. I think the Pats O-line will made adjustments during the half to better deal with the Packers blitz and the 2nd half will be a different story.

The best part is how a 7-9 team is going to pick 20th overall, at the best. If they somehow win a playoff game, they'll be part of "final 8" signing restrictions if those still exist.

Any kid with pro dreams needs to take a look at what Tebow was at UF and wonder if he got any coaching at all there.

I quoted you, but really shouldn't have. I know you posted before the other things.

I'm just stunned by his arm strength. He still has a long wind up, but given time in the pocket, he can really let it rip.

The Broncos offensive line is just in shambles right now. They need to shut Clady down. He should not be out there now. As for the rest of it, they should just let Tebow run the spread and try for a lot of quick passes or bombs. The running game is useless and the pass protection can't hold up with even a five step drop. The DLine is by far the weakest link of this team, but the offensive line has been every bit as putrid.

Happy Tebow looked better than I thought he would and happy the team lost.

As sharp as Flynn as looked, the Pat's inability to stop the run is what's killing them, IMHO. How that happens in a game like this, I don't know. They've been pretty good at that all year.

Missing Gerrard Warren? Missing Deaderick for most of the game...missing Brace. Not a lot of depth on the DL (dunno if Gerard Warren is playing tonight or not...)
