This is probably a stupid question, but why is the LDE purple, while the DT and RDE are yellow? Thanks again for all your work Icy. |

Added the moddified experience icons in the players card to show now both position and % of experience in steps of 10%. As there are only 10 different icon colors, i used steps of 10% but for example a player with experience displayed as 50, will have any number between 41 and 50, a player with experience displayed as 100, will have any number between 91 and 100% etc. Those are my asumptions, but it could be also that not all the steps are equal, so this is just a guide, not exact experience numbers as the colors ranges are not exact either and we don't know for sure which range represents each color.
The top of this image are the originals and the bottom my modded ones. Here is the resource 330 bmp: I have updated the first post of this thread with this and also updated the modded exe to 6.0b with all my mods.

I know I'm being anal about this and it's annoying, but...
What if you made it 1-10 instead of the 10-100? That way it's more of a ranking than %? Part of why I say this is I BELIEVE in 6.0 and 6.0a some colors were thicker than others (unfortunately I already updates so I can't check).. So then it would be a straight ranking, rather than seeming to represent the "true" numbers?

Second that, makes more sense to me to have the rankings or stages of development, than 'guessing' the percentages that we'll never know are true... But great work Icy, they look great whatever |

I thought on it too, but then it could be mixed with experience years, you never know how we humans can confuse things. Also i doubt there are a lot of differences between a guy developed 42% and 49%, if you think on it this is like scouting error margin too. I have edited my post before to explain that are ranges to avoid people confused about it.

I'm not sure you're getting my point still... A player with 50 having somewhere between 41-50... we don't know that. You're making a conjecture about how the colors work. I'm hoping someone sees this before loading the patch, because I remember it being that some colors were "thicker" so that say purple represents 0-5, dark blue 5-10, and light blue 10-30... I'm not SURE about this though.

Ok, edited it now with this:

Cool. I know I'm being overly anal about this, I just worry about implications down the line when things don't act the way people expect them to.

Hehe, wait a minute, more changes now: As some members are not too sold on the 10% steps, i have created other 2 versions of the experience icons in the player card: One with letters that are more abstract than numbers, J is the lowest value and A is the higher. And another with numbers that represent just the 10 levels of experience, 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.

I just remember i did this as a joke, but it's already useful when i'm playing with the notebook while watching TV without my wife telling me that i'm playing the whole day. I took an excel file screenshoot and used it as game background.
Does it look like a game? The game background is the resource 328 in reshacker, you can use this as the excel background: http://www.prodeportes.com/fof2k7/bi.../1033excel.bmp If instead, you want a full black background, use this: http://www.prodeportes.com/fof2k7/bi.../1033black.bmp The black one is what i use as the default office one distracts me fom the game, i prefer all black background.

Do I already have to have my game updated to 6.0b before I use this, or can I just update?

Icy, just a suggestion on the 1-10 ratings. If you move the position and number a hair toward the center and add a bit of white to the edge of the colors, it breaks up the ratings so they don't run together and makes it much easier to read. For example:
with space (see between FL and SE): as is: |

A general comment for me: most of these are pretty good, but to be great you need to check the contrast between the text and backgrounds. Black does not read well against some of the darker colors. See my earlier example on the position edits (black QB text on dark red hard to read), and it's similar on these experience charts. I know you don't have a lot of options with the way the bitmap is put together, but maybe lighten up the darker purple and red backgrounds?

Thanks for making the positional tags with numbers 1-10. It means I no longer have to decipher the colors to determine if a light blue player is more developed than a light purple player, I can just see that 3 is bigger than 1.
Thanks again! |

I was starting to work on throwback logos, but I don't have the time to really get into it (or the skill to make them actually look very good!)
I did find a great site for throwback logos though... http://www.logoshak.com/ |

icy, the position colors look great. my only nitpicky thing is the yellow between d-lineman and lbs are very hard to differentiate, to my eyes.

I guess you mean for a fictional team in Los Angeles right? I'm thinking on releasing a pack of all fictional teams/logos but now i want to play a bit the game as have been doing mods since it was released. I'll give it a shoot after the weekend. Btw, are you the IrishHand who created the real rosters for TPB? if so, i like them a lot.

Sure...I generally take some hapless franchise and after the locals refuse to fully fund my $700M stadium, move the show to my beloved Los Angeles...but I'm not a big fan of the bleak, uninteresting "Los Angeles" that defaults in... So, a fictional one, an LA Raiders or Rams one, I don't really care - whatever suits your fancy. I just want some sort of upgrade. Quote:

I can't get this to work. When I right click to save, it wants to save it as a greta5.png file. I rename it to greta.bmp and save it over in the pictures file. However, when pulling up Greta in-game, I get a blank. Pray tell what to do? Is it this .png business? |

Perhaps it's the wrong size? It shows as 364 x 316. I deleted the original Greta picture so I can't check if the size matches. Does anybody know?
Yab, perhaps you can post it on imageshack as an original .bmp file? I'm just totally guessing here. Last edited by Vinatieri for Prez : 11-22-2006 at 07:25 AM. |

.png is a completely different file format. I'm pretty sure that imageshack will convert an uploaded .bmp file (not internet friendly) and convert it to a .png.
