So in a qualifier in Azteca in 2013 the US has Brad Davis, Eddie Johnson, and DaMarcus Beasley on the field. If this were 2009, I would say that's a stretch.

I'm the first to bitch about the anti-US referee bias of CONCACAAF refs, but yeah...we've gotten a couple gifts here today on no-call penalties.

You know, with Mexico, it's really funny that the advent of Chicharito has really relegated Guardado and Gio Dos Santos, who were clearly the best players on the team before he arrived, and who aren't OLD or anything, to distant second-fiddles.

He oversold it, it looked like a Dive at full speed because he threw himself down so hard at the touch.

Agreed that it probably was a penalty looking at slow speed.

Guardado is a very very good player but Chicharito is one of the 10 best finishers on the planet, IMO.
