Cmon. That's twice the Mexicans have had a reasonable penalty shot denied. That was a penalty. Even Twellman acknowledges it.

Yeahh...got away with another one there.

First game I can recall in WCQ where the refs have been pro-US.

So in a qualifier in Azteca in 2013 the US has Brad Davis, Eddie Johnson, and DaMarcus Beasley on the field. If this were 2009, I would say that's a stretch.

I'm the first to bitch about the anti-US referee bias of CONCACAAF refs, but yeah...we've gotten a couple gifts here today on no-call penalties.

He really is - its always a tie for me between him and Dempsey as to who the best US player is.

I think Dempsey is more talented, but Bradley is a better soccer player.

I love Klinsy's sweater. It looks like they ironed on the US crest 20 minutes before the game.

Really surprised we aren't bringing on fresh legs for the backline.

You know, with Mexico, it's really funny that the advent of Chicharito has really relegated Guardado and Gio Dos Santos, who were clearly the best players on the team before he arrived, and who aren't OLD or anything, to distant second-fiddles.

So at this point will Donovan play for the US again or have they moved on without him? I have to think he still has a ton of value to the team if he actually cares.

He oversold it, it looked like a Dive at full speed because he threw himself down so hard at the touch.

Agreed that it probably was a penalty looking at slow speed.

Whoever decided to play Dos Santos up top should be fired immediately. He needs to be playing on the wing.

He will, once he starts playing again. Obama even offered him AirForce One if he wanted to play today

Guardado is a very very good player but Chicharito is one of the 10 best finishers on the planet, IMO.

Really? Hard to argue that Mexico isn't playing like they're down 1-0 with the bodies they are committing forward?

Rowech: He's played basically three years straight, non stop (either at World Cups or on loan for Everton). He's burnt out, plain and simple. He's been eat drink sleep soccer without an offseason for years and it finally caught up to him.
