CL Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award Given Out
Saturday, November 18th, 2147: 2147 was a pretty good year for David LaCoste. In his debut season the Napa Valley rookie rapped out a .278 batting average with 174 hits in 625 at-bats, 13 home runs and 64 RBIs. He walked 69 times and had a .355 OBP. Those numbers got him the Continental League Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award.


Republic League Picks Top Rookie
Saturday, November 18th, 2147: Dave Carlton of the Rebels had a good year during 2147. In his debut season the Chico third baseman hit .318 on his way to the Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award.

Carlton collected 208 hits with 19 home runs, 84 RBIs and 125 runs scored.

Best Pitcher Trophy Won by Gothams López
Monday, November 20th, 2147: In the twilight of his career, Tony López has no intention of going anywhere anytime soon. The 35-year-old Gothams starter hoisted up the Continental League Gabriel Prado Award earlier today, silencing critics who thought it was time for the "old man" to retire.

López crafted an ERA of 2.63 as he won 17 games, dropped 9, fanned 169 and gave up 29 walks in 219 innings of work.


Caro Chosen RL's Best Pitcher
Monday, November 20th, 2147: In 2147 when Chico reliever Rubén Caro strolled in from the bullpen, it spelled "Relief with a capital R". He usually put a quick end to any budding rally. For his sensational mound work he was voted the Republic League Gabriel Prado Award winner.

The Rebels bullpen specialist converted 38 saves this year with a 8-3 won-lost record and 2.76 ERA. He appeared in 76 games and struck out 86 in 84.2 innings.

Sumita Selected CL's Premier Batter
Tuesday, November 21st, 2147: It's been a year of triumph for veteran Yoritomo Sumita of the Baltimore Gothams as he hit his way to the 2147 Continental League Hideaki Tanaka Award.

The 37-year-old veteran compiled a .361 average and .454 on-base percentage by putting together 181 hits, 39 doubles, 3 triples, 4 home runs and 85 walks. He also scored 80 times and drove in 72 runs.

Tuesday, November 21st, 2147: Los Angeles's Tatsuzo Suzuki put the wraps on a fine campaign today by winning the 2147 Republic League Hideaki Tanaka Award.

The 26-year-old veteran scorched the opposition with a .360 average, picking up 214 hits, 44 doubles, 4 triples, 27 home runs and 119 RBIs, while scoring 116 runs.

yeah usually me too. Sandall definitely hit more balls, but Jofre had a little more power punch. Granted Sandall's SLG was surprisingly good. Still, I held onto Jofre instead. We'll see which one is better this year.
