Holy crap! What a backwards series! How did you beat those guys lynchy? (THe Millers)...and good strategy Tellisto draining all of lynchy's pitchers in game one of the Classic in the 16 inning snorefest. Maybe that's why lynchy's players didn't show up game 4. They forgot to set their alarms.

CongraTS on a happy retirement Dan Dickerson! YOu are officially hired as a WInter Wolves announcer (backup catchers make the best baseball announcers).

He offically is a 1st and 3rd basemen but a few years ago the system (bench coach ) put him at backup catcher when I didn't have one so I left him there. Have been doing that for 4 years straight and its worked out, even though he wasn't a true catcher. It's been a great ride Dan!

I was just thinking of my current team. Over the past few years, I have regularly had one of the best offenses in the game, and I was 1st or 2nd again in the RL last year in runs scored.

The issue now is age, because a lot of the guys who fueled the offense explosion from my farm system years ago are gone or old now. Top end 30-somethings who are very good offensive players include C Guzman, 1B Kim, SS Simpson and 3B/RF Rangel. They will need to be replaced very soon.

The new core of the lineup will need to be built around 2B Bobby Spencer and RF Fernando Guillen.

But the offense will be there again next year. The lineup is just too deep, just need a better CF really.

Pitching on the other hand...wow, I have really struck out on SP. I accidentally let David Tidwell get away in an arb day messup on my part some years ago, and this past offseason I was outbid for longtime Hooligan Ric Thomas. So it's ace Julio Cortes at #1. And who knows at 2 thru 5.

If I can solve the rotation problem, Hammersmith's stay at the bottom will be very short.

I feel your pain Chief. I've had one pitcher and that's about it, and a pretty decent offense that with any other pitching support would be great.

Well, my team is getting to the point where I have to start letting players slowly go because I have too much money invested in the offense and more coming behind. The guys who are so so who want too much money or I can easily replace with younger if not as good go by the wayside. Sandoval last season, Brown this season most likely.

I'm in much the same boat as Chief as to starting pitching. I can't afford free agents, have to hope a starter of half decent ability falls to me in the draft or when my team has a down year which it's been known to do.

I'm stocked in middle relief with at least three guys who could close at the backend. If my starters get anywhere near my pen without losing the game for us my offense and relief can win a lot of games for us.

Tellistto College Prospect Join Date: Apr 2002 Location: Whitman, MA	Well, my team is getting to the point where I have to start letting players slowly go because I have too much money invested in the offense and more coming behind. The guys who are so so who want too much money or I can easily replace with younger if not as good go by the wayside. Sandoval last season, Brown this season most likely. I'm in much the same boat as Chief as to starting pitching. I can't afford free agents, have to hope a starter of half decent ability falls to me in the draft or when my team has a down year which it's been known to do. I'm stocked in middle relief with at least three guys who could close at the backend. If my starters get anywhere near my pen without losing the game for us my offense and relief can win a lot of games for us. Tell
