Season's Best Fielders Selected by CL
Wednesday, November 5th, 2087: The Slick Fielder Award winners don't get the recognition of the home run hitters, but they are very much appreciated by managers, their teammates and by the fans, who know the value of defensive excellence. Great defense makes a difference in baseball. This year's top glovemen in the Continental League are: Pitcher: Robert Kuhn (Washington Freedom) Catcher: Bob Pinch (Oshawa Mullets) First Baseman: Maxime Grégoire (Washington Freedom) Second Baseman: Víctor Salas (St Cloud Raindrops) Third Baseman: Mario Tapia (Washington Freedom) Shortstop: Leo O'Halloran (Oshawa Mullets) Left Fielder: Emerson Hubbard (Oshawa Mullets) Center Fielder: Casey Hornback (St Louis Hops) Right Fielder: Ernie Couch (St Louis Hops) RL Slick Fielder Award Winners Named Wednesday, November 5th, 2087: Who are the Slick Fielder Award winners? They are the guys that steal outs. They make spectacular plays, but they also consistently make the routine plays. This year in the Republic League these defensive stalwarts made a name for themselves with their gloves: Pitcher: Blair Blandford (Waikiki Beach Boys) Catcher: Luke Blaquiere (New York Legends) First Baseman: Jean-Marc Pageau (Portland Axemen) Second Baseman: Mac Gaston (Ann Arbor Wolverines) Third Baseman: Sergio Rojas (Spring Lions) Shortstop: Pedro Hernández (Las Vegas Wildcats) Left Fielder: Andy Bright (Ann Arbor Wolverines) Center Fielder: José Martínez (New York Legends) Right Fielder: Héctor Salazar (Maricopa Rattlers)

Nothing like starting the offseason getting nailed in arbitration and being over the cap before FA even starts....

Best turnout in my commish tenure for FOOLX. FOOLX was hurting a great deal for a while, so I'm pretty excited and proud that we are back on track. Thanks to everyone that helped along the way with a special shout out to Spleen for the contribution he made in finding people to take teams. THANK YOU ALL!!!!

I don't recall all the offers I made, and I know I didn't hit on them all. But adding Pedersen to the rotation and Graves to the pen will really help my pitching staff. And bringing back Aguilar gives me another power bat, and one with an excellent glove. And adding Fuentes helps me with my depth issues on the left side of the infield and gives me a solid platoon bat at 3B.
So I got the pieces I needed. Hopefully that will be enough to contend for a playoff spot.

Thanks buddy. I almost didn't want to take the team over when I found out I would have to try and fill the ownership shoes that Teach left... then I figured, if anyone was gonna derail the franchise, I'm pretty good at that so why the hell not?!

Been seeing a lot of weird stuff this week with my team. I thought I was losing my mind. Just realized that somehow I got put on vacation and the AI was the reason for all of the weirdness.
