In a rather funny argument with a Bruins fan who thinks Tom Sestito should be suspended for his "hit to the head" on Horton on Sunday.

Yeah the deal was

Hossa (who was a UFA to be) and Pascal Dupuis, who is just a plain solid guy. Some fans hated him the past couple years, because he was sort of wedged into Crosby's line by Bylsma. But all he's ever done is give you 18 or so goals, 40 points, kill penalties, and skate and skate and skate, for $1.5M

Atlanta got:

Colby Armstrong, who was a fan favorite here, but is what he is: 20 goal 3rd line, or fringe 2nd line, winger.

Espositio, who after multiple knee injuries, just crashed. He was the can't miss, battling Pat Kane for #1 overall.

Erik Christensen, who I loved here, but had zero spot behind Crosby, Malkin, Staal. He was repeatedly tried on the wing, and was skating in circles. But God damn was/is he lethal on the shootout.

1st round pick that turned into Daulten Leveille, in his senior year at Michigan State, but not looking to crack an NHL lineup any time soon

I have no idea what to expect from the Caps from night to night. How can they score five goals on the Bruins without Ovi, Backstrom and Green when, two games ago, they were shutout by Carolina?

Oh, they're still around. I'm watching them swan-dive the same way you saw them do the second half of last season. Should be interesting to see what Chevy does at the deadline now that he's had a few months to evaluate everyone.

Btw, Evander Kane is getting absolutely destroyed by the locals for his rumored antics around town. Winnipeg is too small to be a douche and get away with it for long. I'm sure some of the rumors are false, but where there's smoke there's fire, and he is quickly starting to look like the second coming of Keith Tkachuk around town.

Never thought I would see Evander Kane being compared to Keith Tkachuk. I love this board.

That was Keith Tkachuk later in his career. During his Winnipeg years he was more known for womanizing and general dickish behavior.

Eat Tim Horton's and gain 100 pounds? Those two options are pretty much it.

Don't worry, he scored some pretty big goals for the Oilers so he's got a special place in my heart as well.

But, I'm sill not sure which of those people I was cheering for way back then!

I liked using the Lightning in NHL 95 for the PC. Petr Klima was my leading scorer.

Klima was also dominant as an Oiler in NHL 92 (first one with no player names).

I don't read ESPN much anymore, but always loved Bucci.

He's doing his top 100 players, currently at 51-100

NHL: John Buccigross ranks his Top 100 current players - ESPN

I don't know what is worse, this stupid all-star draft or the overdramatic way they handle it. "Were you sweating that you would be the last one picked?" Seriously? Yeah, being the last one picked from a group of all-stars and winning a car would really make someone sweat.

Once I read his number one he lost all credibility so not much reason to keep reading.

There are worse rankings as you get further in: Campbell ahead of Karlsson, Jordan Staal ahead of St. Louis and Backes, mentioning Cam Neely and Milan Lucic in the same sentence.

I do love this on Marchand though:

To start, I'm not a fan of Buccigross. This list isn't terrible, but it seems a bit strange to me that he claims these are the order you'd take guys if you needed to 'win now' (ie this year) but then puts St. Louis 58th on the list and Ovechkin 8th. Crosby 1st makes no sense because he won't play again this year (if the criteria went beyond that then sure, but who would put all their faith in Crosby for this season?). Jarome Iginla is somehow way back of Alex Semin. It goes on.

No one will ever agree on a list like this, but there are some really strange aberrations that are hard to overlook.

Agree here. He had a bad year, by his prior standards, in 10-11, but behind Stephen Weiss? And if it's the concussion, then again, how is Crosby #1?

How long before they come up with a "2nd last pick because he won't get a car like the last guy picked" prize?
