NOFL: Pre-season Week. Deadline is Weds 4/1/09 at 10PM
We've reached the pre-season week. Time to set up your boards, redshirt players, set your depth charts, and tell me who you want on your custom schedules. Please use the soon to be created scheduling thread for all of the finalized games, but feel free to discuss the options in this one.

Can you look at which weeks I have the option to play ECU?
Also I am looking to play at least a home and away human nonconference game so let me know if anyone wants to try and match up. I would love a shot at the 2 time defending national champs ;-) |

I'm done with all the stuff I can do.
Edit--looked at the scheduling thread, and I'll take on anyone. I'd prefer to sub top 25 teams (B10 and SEC) for my FCS games. Hopefully 2010 can fix it where the players can see their schedules to make it easier on the commish. Last edited by Raiders Army : 03-27-2009 at 11:14 AM. |

BigDPW, ECU is already on your schedule as a road game for week 12. A list of all of the teams with FCS games that must be rescheduled: Arkansas, BC, Kentucky, NC State, Stanford, and Virginia. |

Just looking at last season's scheduling thread, I owe Karl a game at his house and WVUFan should come to Oklahoma State this year. That is, if they still want to do those games.

Since many teams are still negotiating schedules and that is a critical component, I'll probably be extending the deadline a day or two.

Good deal. FWIW, I'll wait until the National Championship to face kingneb.
In all seriousness, Karl had a great post in the other thread. |

I may have to appeal for a brief extension. This has been my crazy work week with too many 18 hour days. I won't be off work until after midnight tonight and I may be able to take care of everthing when I get home or when I wake up in the morning. Sorry to hold things up but greatly appreciate any slack.

EF27.
So I took my dynasty off line and even then I was only able to see my own schedule. So what we're gunna have to do here is have you, or someone else (I'm willing but I can't do it until tomorrow) post everyones schedules on here manually, and then we can alter them from there. KingsNeb... I saw that you accepted my challenge to play this year in the other thread, but I already have a Conference game against Oregon locked in for week 2. The only week you and I have compatible is Week 4, where I have an FCS team scheduled. Let me know if that works for you.

Actually, I think it is better for everyone to go offline to see their own schedule and what changes they can make. But, if people need me to do so, I will post schedules tomorrow. |

That should be fine, as long as I can still play a road game at Cincinnati. I don't have my 360 here right now, so I can't check the schedule. I'll try and check late Monday night if that will work. EF27, can you see if I can switch my non-conference schedule to be: EDIT: Updated schedule posted below Sorry that I can't check it myself right now. Thanks in advance. I will play Okie State if you want. I think we might could play in week 2 if you want... I don't care the site. I plan to play only one non conference road game anyway so if that is you that is fine.

Stanford, did you want to do a home & home? We could play at my place in 2010 and your place in 2011. I still need to check my schedule because I need to play my rival (Louisville) and a road game at Cincinnati.
NC State, did you want to start a home & home this year? We could play at your place in 2010 and my place in 2011. Stanford has first priority (as does my non-conference games against Louisville & Cincinnati). I will try to check my team's schedule later tonight to see if this will work. But I wanted to see if it was okay with you before I spent my time doing that. So, pending approval from my opponents (and the availability), my non-conference schedule will be vs Stanford, at Louisville, at Cincinnati, and at NC State. I'll check my schedule later tonight. |

KingNeb - I am okay with a home and home starting at my place this year. The only game that I don't want to miss out on in my current non-conference is my rival ECU (I think week 12) other than that we could play in any of my open slots but I would like to week 2 if possible? Let me know if that works for you

DPW, how about Week 1 at your place? I had to mess around with the schedule a bit to make that happen, but I think it will work. Here's my updated non-conference:
Week 1 AT NC State (Start of a Home & Home) Week 2 AT Cincinnati Week 4 VS Stanford (Start of a Home & Home) Week 14 AT Louisville Sorry to EF27 about switching it repeatedly, but this should be it for me (finally). Thanks for your patience. For any other teams looking to add a computer team to their schedule, some good opponents would be Ohio State, West Virginia, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, or Pittsburgh. These are all teams not in our conferences who have come really close to being undefeated the last several seasons. The Big Ten & Big East are really weak outside of these teams. Okie State has the right idea with his schedule, taking on three of these guys. Even though it probably won't be me, I'd still like to see a human vs human championship. Good luck to everyone. |

Colorado:
Week 1 - Colorado State Week 2 - at FSU Week 3 - Open Week 4 - Open Week 12 - Eastern Michigan Week 14 - UCF EF27, my only changes right now are in bold -- I want those week 12 and 14 games at home. Posted in the other thread that I'll drop UCF for a human in week 3, 4 or 14 but since I'm keeping my game at Florida State I'd prefer to play the human at home. No lucky schedule breaks for Colorado this year ... vs. No. 16 Oklahoma State, at No. 13 Texas A&M, vs. No. 5 Texas -- all in four weeks. Then we play Iowa State only to get No. 11 Kansas State. Yikes. |

Big DPW...looks like we're gunna have to postpone our game for a year...nothing is matching up in our schedules for an OOC game.
EF...can you replace my FCS game with a game against Western Kentucky or Duke or some shoddy warm up team? Would anybody like to play me in Week 3? I'll take on anybody really, but I think I would have to be the home team otherwise I'll be flooded with away games.

You can't play each other in week 3. If I didn't list a week up above, that means it is a locked conference game that cannot be changed. Virginia has a conference game in week 3 that cannot be changed. You could play in week 1 or 2. Those are the only weeks that you could play each other. |

Due to an emergency with my wife and the fact that I want to give some people one last chance to submit info on their schedules, I'm pushing the deadline to tomorrow night at 10PM. I will enter in all of the schedules then and we'll advance. Any team that hasn't contacted me will just get their FCS games replaced with a mid-tier team and no other changes to their schedule.

Tentative Schedule for NC State:
Week 1 - Kentucky Week 2 - Oklahoma State Week 6 - Open Week 9 - Open Week 12 - at ECU Week 14 - Open I will pick another nonconference opponent when I get home to fill one of the open slots. I forget when I need to have another home game for recruiting purposes. But each year somehow my schedule alternates with alot of home games in the beginning or end of the year. Thanks to the guys that are willing to take me on at my place. I will have to step it up this year... |

It won't let me give you Cincinnatti in week 2. Do you have another preference quickly? If not, I'm going to give you one of those other teams you mentioned (or I might delay untl tomorrow if a few other teams have this problem as I enter schedules.) Edit: It will let me do Louisville in week 2 and Cincinnati in week 14. So, that is what I'll do if I don't hear from you and no other teams have issues.

Ok. All schedules are entered. I had to bounce back and forth between this thread and the scheduling thread. Hopefully, next year everyone can post their desired schedule as a final post in the scheduling threads to help ensure accuracy. Hopefully, I didn't make any mistakes this year. Let's get this season going.

Thanks for fixing my schedule EF27. Weird how it wouldn't let you schedule the game. The switch you made was good...it kept the teams intact even though it was in different weeks. The game at Cincy was very important, as I had promised a game in Ohio to several of my important recruits
