Salavisa was San Diego's FRANCHISE player. I didn't realize that, but it's the first time one of them had been on the team for 15 years....so the lifetime contract was up since that's the max # of years you can do at once. So I'll have to put him back in San Diego.

Where can I get a new league file, I think mine is messed up? My current date says Nov. 17th, 1852, yet I have e-mail messages from 1853 and I don't have any notifications on the free agents I offered contracts to. Someting is screwy... Help me out! |

Use JZip and download this file. Unload all of the pieces to your SLOP.lg folder. |

For the newer owners, the FRANCHISE tag in SLOP is a designation you can put on any player you want; provided you drafted the player or you acquired him while he was still a rookie.
The idea is to be able to draft a guy and see him to retirement with your franchise. If you remove the tag from a guy, he becomes a free agent the next season and you can't immediately resign him. |

Speaking of clarifying things, everyone in this thread should post who their current FRANCHISE player is. I know we have a few LEGACY guys still left floating around too, but I already have them documented in the old thread. Just looking for your current Franchise guys, so that we can corroborate who with who.
Speaking of, Tommy Bonner is Winnemucca's for this upcoming year. Looking at his production and my roster, I imagine that we're going to have to decouple him from that status after this year though, as I'm not so sure that he's the guy I want to keep around for another generation with those numbers. |
