Alan Chapman Enters Hall Of Fame
Thursday, November 18th, 2055: Alan Chapman's dream finally came true today, as the talented and gifted shortstop was inducted into the FOOL-X Hall of Fame.

"I really don't know what to say," he said to the large crowd attending his ceremony. "It's such an incredible honor. I always dreamed that this day would come, but now that it's finally here... Someone pinch me, so I know I'm not dreaming!"

Over the course of his 2754-game career, Chapman was a .325 hitter with 3617 hits, including 178 home runs. He drove in 1513 runs and also scored 1579 times as well.

Hunt Gets Call From Hall
Thursday, November 18th, 2055: All-time he played in 3078 games, batted .283 with 551 home runs, 3409 base hits, 2077 RBIs and 2087 runs scored -- stats great enough to be acclaimed a baseball immortal.

Curt Hunt was officially inducted into the FOOL-X Hall of Fame today.

At his Hall of Fame induction, the superstar second baseman told the audience the secret of his success: "I was born to be a ballplayer... I also practiced a lot. Sunup to sundown in the summertime my brothers and I would be on the ballfield. We did it every minute we could. Boy, I loved to play baseball. Still do, and still would, if I could. I always got a special kick on opening day, no matter how many you went through. I looked forward to it like a birthday party when you're a kid. You think something wonderful is going to happen."

One of his manager's summed up his career very well: "You saw him standing out there on the diamond and you knew you had a pretty darn good chance to win the baseball game."

Curt Hunt was an amazing ballplayer.

BTW, Alan, I don't know if this is an automatic thing that nothing can be done about, but I noticed that on the cards, it appears that the career totals shown are those of the entire professional career of the player (including minors). For instance, Hunt hit 551 major league HRs, but he's listed on his card as having 709 HRs.

I don't know if the card is just generated at your request at any pioint or if it's just automatic at retirement, but if it's the former, maybe first go to the individual stats section and set it to show ML only before generating the card.

I am hopeful we'll see Caro and Medina soon. Without them, the Banana Sluggeras don't have anywhere near the success they did.

I certainly don't think it's a big deal, but it would be nice. I wouldn't put yourself out for it, though. If you find it's an easy fix, then go for it.

Awesome, sounds good. Does he also field and run well? Not that a hitter at that level needs that, but I would like to have that. Also, how old is he? OOTP11 is much better at advancing players currents with their age when generated, so if he's 21 and older, he might even be in the bigs sooner than later.

He is an ok defender. He won't win any gold gloves but you shouldn't be scared playing him in RF either. He is an 8 speed with a 9 SB. He is 20 and his contact is already ready for at least AAA. The game says he could possibly be ready for the ML but I'd wait a year at least. I might even start him at AA and give him 2 years but that is me.

I've never been terribly good at spelling actually. Yesterday I wrote the word nucleus as "nucleous" on the board about a hundred times before realizing that I wasn't doing these poor confused bilingual kids any favors.
