*** The Rules The rules are the same as previous FOFC “I’m With Stupid" Contests, as set forth by the game’s widely revered and most truly beloved founding fathers. The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. Yes, that word "product" here in the States means that they will be multiplied together, not added. Highest score wins. Collaboration of any kind is strictly forbidden. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by e-mail or in any other way with other potential contestants. Just don't be an asshat, and this should end well. All determinations of "matches" and anything else requiring judgment fall to that of the sole administrator of this round of the game. You can reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, and that sort of thing. My decisions are final and utterly inarguable, no exceptions. Any references that are unclear to you, due to language or geography, should be understood to be authored from the perspective of an English-speaking American. However... Your answers do not necessarily have to be correct in order to score points. It's the Age of Exploration and you are an Explorer looking for fame and coin. A royal family has granted you authorization to discover new lands. Under which flag will you sail? 2. You've worked hard your whole life (and have a rich uncle or two) and gathered enough coin to buy ships for your expedition. How many ships are you going to sail with? 3. Your hero and role model was also an explorer, but it's not Christopher Columbus, which other famed explorer is it? 4. You've gathered your crew and do a head-count to make sure everybody is present. How many people does the manifest say are in your crew? 5. After embarking on your exploration, you sail into the western hemisphere and "discover" land that's seems to be different than what Christopher Columbus discovered. The land you and your men "discover" is now part of which current sovereign nation? 6. The indigenous people are thrilled, saddened, stunned or amazed by this one thing you have brought with you to the "new world". Historians say it was what? Getting an expedition together isn't easy. But we're all set. Final provisions are being inventoried and are scheduled to embark on our voyage as scheduled. About 20 minutes to go...once we are untethered from the docks we won't be able to get any more on board, so don't be late by even one minute!
