Think of them as failed to qualify, or character issues...they just disappear

Our class was ranked 100th, which is 24 slots better than last year. Baby steps...

Gah.. Oh well.

Anyway, this season it will be imperative that we find 20 or more quality guys who can come in and play right away next year. We're dangerously thin on defense and our secondary is very weak.. I wanted to redshirt some guys, but probably can't afford to. This is going to be one hell of a challenging season, QB Daniel Manning is going to have to be a stud and a half. I predict a lot of high scoring craziness this season, and maybe a record around .500-ish.

Is the next stage the stage where we get to set up our recruiting boards? Trying to decide if I should stay sober for that or not.

Not sure what the next stage is. It might be the one where I redo conferences. In any case, drink away!

I think I might be the second coming of Godzilla Blitz's Poop on the Golden Domes dynasty in FAU. These small, talent-free recruiting classes may not be something FAU can recover from...

You still have position changes, training results and cuts before recruiting board

Ah yeah, position changes. I like that stage almost as much as opening week.

I already know how I want my schedule shaken out though. Start off with a cupcake to get used to this team, then I want my rival, then the highest ranked teams possible.

I don't think I will have to cut anyone, I think we graduated more than we signed.

Eww, my kicker is BAD. 65 KPW, 57 KAC. We're gonna need to be in the red zone for me to feel safe kicking it.

I was thankful to see that my ATH recruit Patrick Mueller ended up being able to block, because he was looking like an offensive tweener with no real position. He'll be a fullback, and a solid one at that. Goes up from a 66 to a 72 OVR in the transition, should give us a nice added wrinkle in the run game and can catch well enough to do some things in a sort of H-back role as well. It's always bugged me that they do not show run/pass blocking for ATH's when you scout them. The gamble paid off this time though, I am satisfied.

We also moved 6'3" 203 WR Maurice Gatewood to TE to give us a little more of a playmaker there. His 84 speed wasn't going to work at WR and he is actually a better run blocker than 2 of my other TE's. Even though he translates into a 59 OVR, I think we'll be using him quite a bit in 2 TE sets and in single back formations with a TE. His athleticism should at least be valuable there where it wasn't when he was set to be our number 2 WR.

My best recruit, ATH turned RB William Williams looks like a strong candidate to play CB in our dime defense as well as being our primary ball carrier. Kind of a Robert Burley lite. (Burley has played iron man for 4 years on my Ladder team)

We're all set and ready to advance, and after some shuffling in the secondary it looks like our weakness back there won't be as bad as expected. Still thin as tissue paper, but solid enough that I think I can work with what is there. Having fast LB's patrolling underneath should make it a little easier.

Our poor recruiting has caused a critical lack of depth on our offensive line. We need to bring in a ton of o-line guys in this next cycle.

I will be attacking WR's this next offseason...I am going to be very thin at the end of the year.

I converted my best recruit into a 77 rated CB, that was a really tough decision because he would have also converted to 78 QB, 78 HB, or 77 WR, but we desparately need a top corner so we don't get beaten long quite as easily. I trust myself to execute on offense, but rely on ratings on defense.

I had 4 other ATH's at 70 or above, 2 WR, 1 other CB, and one FS.

Relatively pleased with where we stand going into this season. The hope is that our offense will be able to make hay while the defense bends but does not break. Probably will have a 3 or even 4 headed monster running the ball, which looks like our strong suit. Gatewood, the WR converted to TE had a strong camp and might just start for us at TE just because he is a better weapon than our WR's on the outside. Chances are we'll have a lot of situational players on the offensive side in order to take advantage of different strengths at RB and TE.

Excited to see how interesting this season turns out to be, I think we'll take a different approach to recruiting.

Wow, looking like my LBs and kickers will be my weak spot this season. I am very confident in my offense and I am deep at QB. I don't know how I am not going to avoid losing a QB to lack of PT this season. I have 3 talented QB's and my 4th stringer was a stud for us last season when he was the 3rd stringer.

I converted my top returning QB to WR this season. His backups should do okay.

70/70 players on my roster after the game assigned me a 40 OVR FB since I only had one, so no cuts needed for me this year. I set ready to advance.

Arrow Preseason - Due date ?

I'm out of town until 10/18, so things like scheduling will be on hold until I return. You have plenty of time to set up recruiting boards, set depth charts, redshirt guys, etc.

I'm out, guys. My Xbox Live membership is expiring in a few weeks and that essentially signals the end of console gaming for me, at least for now, I just don't use it enough to justify paying the subscription. Good luck to everyone!

Give me 3 juggernauts, 2 on the road and one at home as late in the season as possible. I'd like to have a game in week 1 and 2 if possible as well.

From CU Tiger:

I'd like to get Wyoming off the schedule because my real life schedule is going to be upside down through year end. Not sure how we'd ever get a game in tbh.

Also like to replace fcs with...Idaho or Minnesota if possible.

If not, Wisconsin or Michigan or Ohio state or if none of those work, pick somebody at random for me.
