Yes, if you have it on Steam the discount applies automatically. I was going to forego the discount but Steam wouldn't let me.

Individual Stats and Team Summary on Monitor 1. Main game and Simulation Screen on Monitor 2. Team Roster on Monitor 3. All of them update when I sim a game. Can go straight to the roster and make active/inactive changes without closing the sim screen. Ah yeah.

Cincy beat Minnesota in my first sim

Famous Jameis was MVP but wasn't first team all Pro or Offensive MVP, that was Aaron Rodgers
Cardel Jones was Offensive FOTY
Carlos Dunlap had 18.5 sacks and was DMVP
Dieon Jones was DROTY with 163 tackles
AP ran for 1964 yards, but only got into the endzone 8 times
Andy Dalton was second team All PRO at QB

Instant history (or at least history created as quickly as your computer can run). At the press of a button, you can generate up to 50 seasons of "history" for your league, with the AI running every team.

Anyone know how to do this?

Just a reminder to new people who are loading this for the first time:

The XFactor at the start of every game has an impact. Two examples:

Started 1 career:

Paxton Lynch rated a 70 potential. Von Miller rated 70, Julius Peppers was rated superior to him.

Load up another, Paxton Lynch with 59 potential, Miller rated 75, Peppers rated much lower than him.

If it is critical to you that every player be as accurate as you think he should be, do not use xfactor and hire the best scouts. Without XFactor, Miller is the best pass rusher in the game. With it he will range from a good player to a great player.

50 seasons will likely take your computer at least an hour to complete, so only do it if you wanna wait for that.

There is going to be some getting used to the new layout for sure. Things are in different spots than you're used to if you have played past iterations. I think its a better way to do it, but we're just so used to the old way that it feels foreign in the early stages.

The interface will likely take a little getting used to. Few things are where they used to be. But it won't take long.

Save data is in Local rather than Roaming now. As a result I can't tell whether DraftAnalyzer can load a draft successfully.

Auto update open windows when simmed is really great.

Going to coach a game now to see how it feels.

I know Steam has a setting to play games while offline... I don't want to have this game stall or fail to boot of my wifi goes down. Can anyone help me with that?

I'm not new to steam, but didn't really care about previous games.

Open steam, go under the heading "Steam" and select "go offline".

It does. For now, you can just copy the leaguedata directory to your FOF7 tree.

Rex is fine, Rex can make all your plays for you if you don't wanna do it. You can also rename the plays you create. You can also create half the plays and let Rex do the rest. There aren't any "cheeser" plays from what I have seen, because there is a way to defend everything. These plays are about using your personnel how you want to use them, that's all. If I have a guy who is great at getting downfield, now I can use him on slants and screens and things like that. I love that. If I have a guy who tears the top off a defense, I can send him on 9 routes a lot.

From the other thread...Julio, yeah, that sounds good in theory, but I wonder how it will play out. I'll be interested in hearing about it, for sure.

I mean, if I have a big play receiver, then I expect him to get used on deep routes. If I have a slot receiver, I expect him to get used in YAC type situations. I don't think I should have to dig into the minutiae to make sure that all this is being maximized. That seems like a chore. And in the MP environment especially, I'm skeptical that this won't lead to a large gap between those willing to work on 200 plays and those who just Rex it, as a result.

Wow, chemistry stuff is going to be whole lot tougher to manage than before. Moving the personality stuff off the front scree and requiring a click to see it doesn't seem like a big deal... but if you actively use this stuff, it's a really big deal.

Life goes on.

Rex can build a good playbook. Its actually fun to build plays though.. Kinda surprised you're not that into it, heh. As far as I can tell there is no exploitation involved though. Its all about how you plan for your opponent anyway, the playbook just gives you different options for attacking them.

I think I am going to enjoy the coaching experience. It is a different vibe than the quick simmer probably enjoys, but if it plays close to reality, very cool.

There will likely be a few bugs that still need to be ironed out, lots of new code in there. I imagine Jim will be on top of it if you can recreate or detail any crashes that happen.
