Teams
Yeah, I know it's early and we still have to reach 32, but what's your idea?

I'd prefer fictional, and International gives us a lot more options.

By my count, we've got five Euros committed, one on the invite list, and an American living overseas. Seems like a natural for having two divisions based in Europe.

Fictional works for me. No real preference as to US-based or International.

I really like the idea of a properly international league, say one conference US and one overseas. I've got a couple of ideas for US teams (one nicked from cthomer when Jeebs joined IHOF, admittedly) if you want to be all "realistic" and stuff.

I could live with all options.
Option 1 (NFL team names) to me is only immersion-wise appliciable if we decide to go the real players, no draft route. I know we went that way (real names, real players, unreal allocation) in the GEFL, but I wouldn't feel like going that way again. Option 2 is fine with me. No objections. I guess option 3 (international) is dependant on the ability to change cities into the real locations. Associated with that, I'd be interested in putting my team in the North-Western part of the globe, in contrast to my IHOF's Netherlands based team being (mis)placed in London due to the lack of ability to put teams in the Eastern or Southern halves of the world. I could even pick a place in the Caribbean overseas territories of the Netherlands.

I picked US Based, fictional. With fictional players and equalized finances, I see little advantage to NFL Teams. The only disadvantage to international is that if FA's favor being close to home at times, this would put non-USA teams at some disadvantage. That being said, I don't mind an international league if I can be one of the teams either in the USA or closest to the USA of all teams

I would be against anything that has us editing the city list beyond the built-in ability to rename the city.

I voted US-based fictional, but I wouldn't really mind if we want to add an international flavor to the league.

I would like every owner to have the opportunity to place their team in any city they should so desire.

If everyone just ignores the map I don't really see that having a city/town anywhere in the world really matters. Just pick a US city with a climate nearest to the city you want and change the in-game city name.
It might not be realistic to see, for example, Prague next to New Jersey, but a) don't look at the map and b) how realistic is it with everyone having identical cities and stadiums (as is the case with a level ecomonic set up)? That said I can see how that sort of geographical anomaly might be annoying. In which case an entirely US based league would be better. |

Reason, enough to have international teams, I would have thought. I think the IHOF file had edited city files for the Euro teams to put them all just outside of London. Which seems fair enough, really. |

Rival! (I'll probably go with Kaiserslautern, since that's the biggest city near me. )

Hopefully we can get the international/national issue resolved. So please vote if you haven't. The sooner we get that resolved, the sooner we take a step in the direction of actually playing the game in MP.

Have I told you that my dad graduated from K-Town High? As did a roommate of mine at UTEP. I think Stuttgart vs K-Town would be a great rivalry...

Voted. I'm just glad no one has voted for (yet another) multiplayer NFL entry.

Oh, so your dad is one of "those" eh? I spent two years in high school @ Wiesbaden. (I actually work right next to the K-Town High School on Vogelweh, and the building I work in looks old enough to have been built by Hitler himself, but I'm not sure how old the high school is...so I don't know if your dad went to this particular school or not.) |

2 more votes needed to make international official, and allow us to move into selecting our team locations... New folks, please vote.
