I love the David Spade commericals personally. But I've always found him pretty funny.

Saint Thomas?
"S-aint Happenin'"

L.A.?

"N.O., maybe."

Oh, one other great commercial that's been around a few months (despite Peter King descibing it as 'new' in his column today) is the Geico Tiny House fake reality show commerical. It's ridiculous, but not so ridiculous given the state of reality TV, which makes it truly brilliant.

The one that cracks me up is the little girls that's listing all the stuff she wants to know and the guys asks 'shouldn't you learn that in school.' The girl says she lives in a small town in China (I think) and is too far away from a school to go, then the guy says OK ... blah, blah, blah.

So the girl lives in such a small, out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere town that she can't even get to a school, but she's supposed to have a computer with internet access?

That may not be all that far-fetched. IIRC, the Chinese government is slowly setting up internet outposts across their remote frontier regions, using the village chief (or whatever) as a central location for these oasis of civilization.

I was just going to make a post about this one. My buddy Grant (of Dream Job and the Domino's commercial) is the guy in this one.

Here is what Peter King said about it:
"Oh yeah. And the new Geico commercial. The "Tiny House'' commercial. One of the funniest commercials in recent TV annals. I'm sure you'll be sick of it in a month, but enjoy it while you can."

am I the only one who really dislikes the DirecTV NBA League Pass commercials where the people die? well, besides my wife, that is. Really, really bad taste, IMO.

there's a couple variations of them.

basically, it involves a guy (or a couple guys) sitting around enthusiastically watching basketball, when, suddenly they die (one guy gets hit on the head, or another guy dies eating bad chinese food) and float up to heaven...where they end up in an identical kitchen and go on enjoying the game.

tacky.

I like that commercial too Dutch. A lot of the Southwest commercials are pretty good.

I kind of like the new Verizon one with the parents watching their kids shoveling snow. "They can get that anyway."..."Yeah, but they don't know that."

I get a big kick out of the Dell commerical about a guy paying his bills online, but he's actually goofing off playing online poker, cutting and pasting his head on monuments while laughing at it, and playing air guitar while listening some rock music. Everytime I see it, I think about this place and have a good laugh.

Here is a link to the Nike commercial mentioned above.

Putting your cursor over the player shows their "gameface."

I'm starting to find some humor in the Burger King office commercials.
