McDermid Hits His Way to Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award
Friday, November 9th, 2164: This year's outstanding newcomer has been selected and the honor goes to the Cleveland rookie Jim McDermid -- the recipient of the 2164 Continental League Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award.

The talented Cyclones second baseman took the trophy by hitting .348 in 157 games this season and finished with 188 hits, 33 home runs, 81 RBIs and 110 runs scored.


RL Presents Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award
Friday, November 9th, 2164: The top-ranked rookie performer in the Republic League was Colorado right fielder Millard Bennett. It was announced today by league officials that he had been named the winner of the 2164 Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award.

Bennett chalked up some good season stats, including a .327 batting average and .374 on-base percentage, while racking up 18 home runs, 73 RBIs and 81 runs scored.

2164 CL Gabriel Prado Award Chosen
Sunday, November 11th, 2164: The Baltimore Gothams have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making.
It's José Garza Jr., this year's Continental League Gabriel Prado Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.

Garza Jr. compiled a 19-12 record in 34 starts, tallied 176 strikeouts in 238 innings and recorded a 3.71 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .242 batting average against him.


Hooligans González, Gabriel Prado Award Winner
Sunday, November 11th, 2164: In the twilight of his career, Félix González has no intention of going anywhere anytime soon. The 35-year-old Hooligans starter hoisted up the Republic League Gabriel Prado Award earlier today, silencing critics who thought it was time for the "old man" to retire.

González crafted an ERA of 3.44 as he won 17 games, dropped 7, fanned 210 and gave up 20 walks in 227.1 innings of work.

CL Top Hitter, 2164 Choice Is Durham
Monday, November 12th, 2164: Tim Durham of the Halifax Winter Wolves proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Continental League Hideaki Tanaka Award.

Durham hit for a .342 average while collecting 208 hits, 29 doubles, no triples, 32 home runs, 143 RBIs and scoring 97 times.


RL Announces Best Batter Award
Monday, November 12th, 2164: What a way to finish off the year -- being honored with the 2164 Hideaki Tanaka Award in the Republic League. It had already been a very special season for Omaha's Les Noonan, but today's announcement really put the icing on his cake.

All season long Les Noonan gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .332 as he collected 189 hits, 19 doubles, 7 triples, 21 home runs and 98 RBIs.
