Ronald Jenkees - YouTube musical star
Okay, this guy has been around for a while, but I just came across this guy recently and he is a musical freak. Came across his Rocky Remix that he was working on and had to get the song.
And now I am eagerly waitng for his next album that's supposed to come out sometime this summer and that's because of this video. Don't know where he'll end up in the future, but he worked on a video with Weezer and he mentioned meeting with Papa Roach. Don't know if that will lead to anything, but this guy is definitely a talent.

A buddy of mine introduced me to him on YouTube and now I am subscribed. He really has some awesome stuff (and he made the intro music to Bill Simmons' podcast on ESPN, pretty rad)

I can't imagine what it would be like to have a talent like that. I can't do anything that reaches that level of talent.

Failed to mention that he does have his website where he blogs and sells his music. The Malcolm Kelly rap mixed with his music is good stuff:
http://www.ronaldjenkees.com/ And he is also available on iTunes where is where I purchased his music.

The little hand-slide thing he does in the second video reminds me of K-Fed's Popozao video :P

Noooooooo! Now you have me imagining that song remixed with his. Although I do believe he would make that song sound much cooler with his rendition of it.

I think Mr. Jenkies has a new challenge...

Dola
Is he 'acting' in those clips, or is he really a nerdy sounding dork-type guy with a French Stewart squint thing going and Bubbles glasses?

I think he has to be acting. If you look at his body when he plays, you'll notice that he looks young and healthy and into the music. I think he decided to play a character to get more attention online, sort of like "hey, look at this dorky guy and...oh, wait, he's really good." It's funny because he doesn't need to do it, he's good enough to get noticed as it is.

I don't think it's an act- I think he's just that type of guy that is so brilliant he is amazingly detached with how to act normal.

Phenomenal.
I thought it was a joke while he was talking, and expected some horrible attempt, so I was even more blown away after I listened. I bought the downloadable CD immediately after. |

And you will soon discover that it is not an act. He hails from Kentucky and he even sings that way. Listen to 56k and Ain't No Thang and you will discover that it is just the way he is.

Ronald Jenkees is raw. Sign him up! The second video in the first post, as Mizzou said, is really quite fantastic.

Okay, looks like he has a souped up version of Throwing Fire. The original one I linked too in the first post doesn't exist anymore, but this one is still kick ass...

This is the first time I have seen this thread, he is very impressive. He is better at playing the keyboard, then I am at tying my shoes, or walking.

Purchased his music a while back and the songs Clutter, The Rocky Song Remixed, and Remix To A Remix get a lot of play.

I think he's been doing The Sports Guy's intro music for Simmons's podcast since day one. His internet fame level pretty much went in hand with Simmons finding out about him.
