Nice sweep over the Cardinals (even though their my favorite team). I just read all the pages of this dynasty, snd I'm really enjoying what you've done so far.
Chicago -- The Cubs got a big lift from catcher Dioner Navarro in a 6-2 win over the Reds as Navarro drove in 4 runs on the day. Reds starter Mike Leake went 5 innings giving up 3 runs on 6 hits and receiving the loss. Cubs starter and ace Jeff Samardzija picked up his 3rd win of the season as he tossed 7 innings giving up 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out 5 Reds batters.
The Cubs got the first lead of the game in the 4th inning on a Navarro RBI single center, scoring Starlin Castro to take a 1-0 lead. The Cubs added 2 more runs in the 5th, both on RBI groundouts by Dave Sappelt and Castro. The Reds cut the lead to 3-1 in the 6th inning on a RBI double by Jay Bruce, driving in Shin-Soo Choo. The Reds look to regroup on Saturday as the play game 2 of this 3 game road series against the Cubs. Ace Johnny Cueto (3-3) will take the mound for the Reds and will face off against Scott Feldman (3-0) for the Cubs.
REDS HOMER 5 TIMES TO TOP CUBS IN OFFENSIVE SHOWCASE
Chicago -- The Reds, who have been struggling to score as of late, exploded for 12 runs on Saturday top beat the Cubs 12-6. The Reds got a big lift from lead off hitter Shin-Soo Choo who hit 2 of the Reds' 5 home runs in the game. Both starters struggled in the game. Johnny Cueto was able to pick up the win for the Reds despite giving up 6 runs on 10 hits through 5 innings. The loss went to Scott Feldman who allowed 6 runs on 5 hits through 2.1 innings, including 2 home runs. The win lifts Cueto to 4-3 and the loss gives Feldman his first of the season as he is now 3-1.
In the top of the first inning, the first batter of the game, Choo, hit a lead off home run to put the Reds out in front 1-0. In the second inning, the Reds picked up 4 more runs on RBI doubles by Todd Frazier and Ryan Hanigan and the other 2 off a 2 run home run by Zack Cozart. The Cubs got 1 run in the 2nd on an Ian Stewart RBI single. In the 3rd, Hanigan drove in another run on a sac fly to push the lead to 6-1. In the 4th inning, Choo struck again hitting his second home run of the game, this time a 2 run shot. In the bottom half of the 4th, Cubs Anthony Rizzo hit his 3rd home run of the season. The Cubs cut the lead to 3 in the 5th on an Alfonso Soriano 3 RBI double. The Reds pushed 3 more across in the 6th inning on a 2 run home run by Joey Votto and a solo shot by Ryan Ludwick. Each team would score once more in the game. In the 6th, the Cubs got a run on a sac fly by David DeJesus. In the 8th, the Reds got their 12th run on a sac fly by Denis Phipps.
Right fielder Jay Bruce left the game in the third inning after he strained his bicep muscle sliding into 2nd base. He is day to day. Outfielder Chris Heisey is set to return from the disabled list on Monday as he rejoins the team in Cincinnati to start a 3 game series with the Braves.

FRAZIER'S 7 RBI DAY LIFTS REDS OVER CUBS IN RUBBER GAME
Chicago -- The Cincinnati Reds walked out of Wrigley field with a win on Sunday in the rubber game of this 3 game series with the Cubs. All 7 of the Reds runs were collected by 3rd baseman Todd Frazier, who was outstanding at the plate as he went 3-4 including 2 home runs. Reds starter Mat Latos wins his 3rd game in a row after a slow 0-2 start to the season. Latos pitched 6 innings, giving up only 1 run on 3 hits and 4 strikeout.
