---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A pretty good mix of everything was drafted by the Giants, top prospects, star players, depth, everyday players at every level, and even some former big leaguers trying to come back. I think some of the underrated players to look for will be Chris Owings, Hunter Dozier, Bubba Starling, and Jordan Schafer. Owings is a very underrated player who can play virtually anywhere, Hunter Dozier who will now have a quick path to playing time (I'll get into why) has a ton of power and can bolster a team if he can use it. Starling is an under the radar type of pick, who might have a quick path to the majors given his age, and should be one of the first called upon if an injury occurs, of if someone struggles. Finally, I like Schafer because not only can he pitch, but he can play the outfield, and run. His versatility will most definitely help him to the majors before other relievers if needed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Getting into Spring Training, since the team was drafted, everyone was put into the role they were planned to be in. The team finished around .500, but had a huge loss in the process. 1B Greg Bird went down with a fractured hand for 1-2 Months. Hunter Dozier will move to first every day, with Munenori Kawasaki coming up to replace him. SS Gustavo Nunez will take his place in the AAA, and former Cardinal Ryan Jackson will come up to replace Nunez at the Double-A.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for lineups.
CF Christian Yelich
SS Chris Owings
RF Mookie Betts
3B Eugenio Suarez
LF Carlos Beltran/Jayson Werth
C Dioner Navarro
2B Brandon Phillips
1B Hunter Dozier
P/DH

I am thinking of switching Navarro and Phillips around, but unless someone gets hot or injured, this should stay the same all season. I like the Beltran platoon with Werth because it pulls to both of their strengths. Werth will play versus lefties, Beltran against righties. I also like it because both are old, and it might extend their high level of play out a little more. The one not playing left will DH when were playing at an AL stadium.

SP Justin Verlander
SP Carlos Martinez
SP Jon Gray
SP Trevor Cahill
SP Alex Reyes

LRP Corey Luebke
MRP Matt Bowman
MRP Kam Mickolio
MRP Wandy Peralta
SU Bruce Rondon
SU Akeel Morris
CP Andrew Miller

I really like the pitching staff as well. There are some older starters, such as Verlander and Cahill, but they are still quality, and they all eat innings. The only questionable one is Alex Reyes. He's only 22, and innings might become an issue. The bullpen is pretty strong to me as well. Miller is lights out all the time, and Bowman, Rondon, and Peralta have pretty good track records. As for Morris and Mickolio, they are both rookies. Both have some time in the majors, Morris with the Mets in 2015, for one game, and Mickolio with Arizona and Baltimore from 2008-2011, but only appeared in 29 games. Mickolio has another aspect to him though, he stands at 6 foot 9, weighing 255 pounds. Finally, Cory Luebke just looks to be solid when he needs to go more than an inning or two, and if he is, this bullpen could be lights out all the time.

To the bench.
OF Werth/Beltran
C Kevan Smith
IF Mike Freeman
IF Munenori Kawasaki
OF Kyle Wren

A lot of rookies on this list. Most will have to prove their "Werth", but Kawasaki and the platoon of Werth and Beltran will hold spots most of the year, Kawasaki until Bird returns. The other three have a lot to prove.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last little part here. The Giants will most definitely have a good chance of having a player take home rookie of the year honors this year. They have 8 rookies on their major league club to start out: Kam Mickolio, Akeel Morris, Wandy Peralta, Hunter Dozier, Alex Reyes, Kevan Smith, Mike Freeman, and Kyle Wren. Finally, for our prospects on the top 50 list, we have 4. Dozier, Eloy Jimenez, Gleyber Torres, and Josh Hader. Hader will figure to become a starter either midway through the season, or in 2018, depending on if we move Trevor Cahill or not. Jimenez the same way, but his is more dependent on Beltran and/or Werth, Torres can come up at any time, but at only 20 years old and nearly no time in the AAA, I want him to age a little, and finally, Dozier will start at first base in the majors right away.

Console: PS4
Rosters: OSFM 2.80
Sliders: Regular
How I plan to work this: Play each game but only blog after each series, telling about key plays, and such, maybe even box scores. Also league news such as roster moves, trades, game scores, and league leaders every month, as well as Players of the Month, and team stats.
