Tampa Bay Rays

Reason For Picking Rays: Besides making it to the World Series in 2008, the Rays have not quite had the team put together to make it to the WS again. The AL East is always a competitive division. I feel like there are plenty of holes to fill on this team. I love Evan Longoria but I wonder is his time up in Tampa? Do we ship him somewhere for a chance to compete for a ring? Or does he hang on for the long ride?

Besides all that, this team seems to be a very much work in progress. I really do not see a lot of talent currently on MLB roster.

House Rules: NOT MANY….I do not want to mimic real life MLB, transactions and things of that nature. I want my franchise to be MY FRANCHISE, MY WORLD. I will only be controlling the Rays. Reports and such will be as this franchise plays out around the league. Nothing to do with real-life MLB.

How I plan on playing games/seasons: I will be utilizing Critical Situations in the beginning by simming the first ten games, since I’ll be giving updates every ten games, as critical situations pop I’ll play those out.
If somehow we’re in a playoff race towards the last month or so, I’ll play the games out. I would want the fate of us making the playoffs in my hands.

Edit: After playing a handful of games, I have given up on the whole slider thing lol....I've switched to out of the box HOF with the ONLY change is in pitch speed which i have lowered down a notch to 4.

Well, not a bad start to the season, going 6-4 and in second place, and 1.5 games back of the Red Sox. Rough two starts for Chris Archer, both ended up being losses. One to the Yankees, the other to the Blue Jays. What prpelled us to a 6-4 start was a four-game series against the Blue Jays in Tampa. Two walk-off wins in that series, including a 3-run homerun by Steven Souza in the finale to earn the split.
