Heat's winning streak ends vs Dallas
Miami Heat at Dallas Mavericks
Nov 9, 20141ST2ND3RD4THSCORE
Miami (5-1)2218262793
Dallas (4-2)22284029119
Miami Heat
Dallas Mavericks

Game Recap: Reality set in for Miami after they got off to a hot start to the season at 5-1. In Dallas they got blown out by the Mavericks, Wade showed up dropping 26/7/3, but the rest of the team really failed to meet expectations. For the Mavericks, Ellis and Chandler Parsons each dropped 21 points respectively. The team was highly efficient from everywhere, shooting 45-77 from the field and 16-21 at the line.

Around the League:
Rajon Rondo announced he would be a free agent and will not sign an extension with Boston.
The Magic are looking to move SG Willie Green.

Game Recap: A fantastic game today between two bitter rivals. While both sides might have lost big pieces that fueled their rivalry, you wouldn't know it tonight. The game was neck and neck the entire way through the 3rd and going into the 4th with Indy up 1. But that's when Spo's strategy to turn up the heat and just harass them on defense paid off. Limiting them to a mere 9 points in the 4th... that's how you steal a game.

Boxscore wise, Wade had his first off game of the year going 8/4/7... with 2-12 shooting. But the entire team collectively scored, every player on the team scored a bucket, along with a very big 13 points by Ray Allen. For Indiana it was quite similar, with no Paul George playing due to injury, no one could lead the pack scoring wise, albeit they also did get a lot of scoring depth.

Around the League:
Nuggets are on a 6-game losing streak.
Trail Blazers are on a 6-game winning streak.
Faried out 1-2 weeks with high ankle sprain.
Isaiah Thomas is being shopped around by Phoenix.

Game Recap: It's a rough rough rough loss... going into the 4th quarter with a 5pt lead and losing by just 1 point. The Heat's offense right now needs a guy to takeover, and that guy shouldn't be Ray Allen although he is dominating. The 39-year old dropped 19 points and was the leading scorer for Miami today, Wade had another poor performance going 5-14 with just 12 points, that's not gonna cut it. McRoberts had a double double with 12/10.

For Atlanta, Al Horford lead the way with 18 points and 13 rebounds. The rest of the team such as Kyle Korver, Paul Millsap, and Kent Bazemore also contributed a combined 43 points.

This also marks the first loss at home for Miami.

Around the League:
Blake Griffin (West) and Carmelo Anthony (East) named players of the week.

Game Recap: To say the least it was a lot closer than Heat fans and the Heat organization would have liked going into the game vs Milwaukee. A tied game, it was tight until the very final seconds when the Heat a game-winning 3 and the defense held. Chris Bosh had 11/14, Deng and Wade had 13 a piece, and the team got a surprising solid performance by Napier with 7/1/1 in just 9 minutes.

For the Bucks, Larry Sanders was a bit banged up going into the game and struggled putting up 9/9 with 4-15 shooting. John Henson lead the game with the Bucks scoring wise putting up 16 points along with 11 rebounds.

Around the League:
Westbrook drops 34 in win vs Houston.
Curry's 31 gets Warriors past Lakers.

Heat beat Nets by nearly 40

Game Recap: That's more like it! Going up against a bad team and just crushing them. The game was basically over after the end of the 1st half with just how huge of a lead the Heat built. Bosh lead the way with a monster night, putting up 24/11/4, as well as the fact the team got solid contribution from everybody. For the Nets, they tried to pull through their bigs in Brook Lopez and Mason Plumlee combined they dropped 28 points and 17 rebounds but no one else helped him, as Deron Williams shot 2-13 on the night.

Around the League:
Marcus Morris signed a 2-year/9.41M deal with Phoenix.
Derrick Williams signed a 3-year/7.82M deal with Sacramento.
Spurs obliterate 76ers, 141-101.
Knicks on a 6-game winning streak.

The Heat's next game will be against the 7-3 Los Angeles Clippers at American Airlines Arena.

Re: Who Needs LeBron? ~ A Miami Heat MyLeague Series (NBA2k15/PS4)

Heat agree to trade for Reggie Evans

In a deal reported by Yahoo's Marc J. Spears, the Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings agreed on a trade that will send PF Reggie Evans to the Heat in exchange for SG Shannon Brown and SF Shawne Williams.

Pat Riley spoke on the deal in a press conference earlier today.

"We feel like Reggie can add a lot of things to this team. His intensity and scrappy mentality is something every team loves in a player, we looking forward to him joining the organization."

It'll be intriguing to see how Reggie Evans fits into the lineup. The Heat were really missing a power forward guy to the squad after Birdman and Okafor, Evans will hopefully be able to provide in that sense and just be an intimidator. In terms of loss for the Heat, neither Shannon Brown or Shawne Williams were getting minutes with the squad, so the team shouldn't be affected very much.

In order to add some injury depth to the roster, the Heat also signed PG Seth Curry to the team. He is in fact the brother of Golden State Warriors PG, Stephen Curry.

Game Recap: What a frigging game! Let's go to a specific moment.. in the 4th quarter with 10:13 to go in the game, the Clippers were leading the Heat 94-76... nearly a 20 point lead. That's when the Heat turned it up. Wade with a bucket, Bosh with a layup, and Ennis with a very big 3pointer made it 94-83.

There was still quite a bit of back and forth though, with 7:30 left in the game it was 98-85 after Jamal Crawford hit 2 free throws. The Heat kept on progressing though as Chris Bosh hit a layup with an and 1, with a Deng layup and Josh McRoberts break away dunk the Heat got it all the way to 98-92 with 5:42 left in the game... Crawford had a response though as he nailed a shot.

The Heat had every reason to give it but didn't, Ray Allen nailed a layup with yet another and 1, incredible performance by the 39-year old. With a stop and Ennis jumpshot, it got down to a 3 point game at 100-97!

Matt Barnes nailed a layup, but Ray Allen continued his fire, a dunk (yes he can still dunk) and a jumpshot falls it to 1... but DeAndre Jordan had a response. Back to back scores made it 106-101 in favor of the Clippers. Emeka Okafor scored a layup but on an alley-oop from Chris Paul, Jamal Crawford slammed it down and it was 108-103 Clippers with 0:31 to go...

This is when he reached his final form. Ray Allen nails a 3! 108-106! In-bounded to Jamal Crawford and he's fouled, he makes both layups though which brings it back up to 110-106. Then, Ray Allen AGAIN! 110-109 GAME WITH 0:16 TO GO! The Clippers can't find anyone and have to in-bound it to Blake Griffin, but he clutches it up and nails both, 14 seconds to go.

Ball is in-bounded to Wade, he nearly loses the ball, 5 seconds now he throws it to Ray Allen over Chris Paul and BANG!!!!!! BUZZER BEATER! 112-112 WE'RE HEADED TO OVERTIME AT AMERICAN AIRLINES ARENAS!

In overtime, the Clippers jumped out to quite the lead considering. With 2:32 left in overtime the Clippers had a 122-117 with Blake Griffin making a jumpshot... then the #1 man once again took over. Wade got fouled and nailed both FTs, after a tough defensive stop, he made yet another jumpshot that made it 122-121 with Clippers just barely leading.

The Clippers scored once again though to Blake Griffin, 1:24 and a 3pt lead! Wade once again worked his magic though and banked in a layup.. Clippers ball, 48 seconds and missed! Heat fastbreak and they miss the layup! Clippers back the other way Chris Paul tries to force it to DeAndre and stolen! McRoberts launches it down the court to an open Deng and DUNKED! MIAMI HAS A 1 POINT LEAD WITH 23 SECONDS TO GO!

The Clippers called a timeout and re-grouped. In-bounding it to CP3 he went to Jamal Crawford and bricked! Jordan gets the offensive rebound though, he goes up and missed again! Emeka Okafor heaves it down the court but OUT OF BOUNDS! 1.8 SECONDS LEFT! THE CLIPPERS WILL HAVE A HAIL MARY SHOT FROM FULLCOURT!

CP3 in-bounds it and throws it like Peyton Manning......... IN AND OUT! THAT'S GAME! HEAT STEAL IT FROM THE LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS AND ADVANCE TO 9-3!

Game Recap: Just a straight up bad performance by Miami.. after coming off such a great win vs the Clippers, you would expect the team to be more into it against an inferior team like the Magic. Bosh dropped 24/9 but no one else gave him any help. The Magic got contribution by all of their starters, whether it be Luke Ridnour or Victor Oladipo. Heat are gonna have to bounce back vs Charlotte.

Around the League:
Knicks on a 7-game winning streak.
Stephen Curry returns from injury for Miami.
Chad Humphries a draft prospect has flown up the draft board.

Game Recap: Bad basketball, bad fundamentals, bad coaching... you can't be getting blown out back to back nights. Bosh had another solid night but what does it matter? More is expected of this team. Get it together.

Around the League:
Igoudala: "Heat ain't gonna catch a break. #ChillPill"
Evan Turner says he'll be testing Free Agency after his deal with Boston.

Game Recap: While the Heat won by 9, it's quite deceiving. The game was incredibly close with 5 minutes to play with it just being 1 pt game. Wade had a fantastic game putting up 23 points with 10 of them from the free throw line. Bosh had a double double himself getting 19/11, the Heat bounced back beating a solid Warriors team after getting blown out in back to back games, now they have 4 game break before they play the New York Knicks.

Around the League:
Lillard drops 30 points in W vs Hornets.
Lakers on 8 game losing streak.
LeBron James (East) and Russell Westbrook (West) named players of the week.
Wesley Matthews wants to test free agency after his deal with Portland.

The Heat will be playing at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks.

Game Recap: Well... that was insane. An incredible matchup between the Knicks vs Heat in MSG, and it'll probably go down as the best game of the season. A remarkable matchup, it felt like nobody could stop anybody.. Wade dropped 55 topping his season high mark of 51 which happened against the Rockets. Bosh also had a very productive night and it was clearly evident the Knicks starters all came to play.

The Knicks were 13-4 heading into the game, so it was quite the massive win for Miami. For the most part, they've been on their game but they've had a few struggles and when they tend to lose it's been in blowouts, minus the Atlanta Hawks game.

Overall for Miami, 16 games into the season and you're 11-5... that's a playoff team in the NFL, let's hope they can keep up the pace in the NBA.

Re: Who Needs LeBron? ~ A Miami Heat MyLeague Series (NBA2k15/PS4)

I think I'm gonna try something new for the next few games.. I'm gonna play the final 4th quarter of each game. It'll add a few interesting dimensions...

1) Won't take an hour to do just 1 game.
2) I'll get varying starts (trailing big/up big/tight game)
3) Allows me to play the game and different teams.

I'll also start including the top 3 scorers for these games, just to give more context.
