Matchup Preview - Orlando Magic @ Detroit Pistons

Worst team of the conference takes on Detroit Pistons at their home floor. Both teams made a trade in the midst of November and Reggie Jackson and Elfrid Payton will be looking forward to punish their old teams. It is certain we won't hear any boo's from the crowd when Jackson touches the ball.

However, Reggie Jackson has been questionable the last few days and according to the sources he won't be in the starting lineup. Is this a smart move by the new coach of Magic - Derek Fisher? Reggie Jackson could exploit the matchup against the back-up point guard of Pistons - Ish Smith, however multiple sources have been stating that Jackson's knee is not feeling well and he will take on less minutes in the few coming games. No official injury has been reported.

Magic will also suffer without Nikola Vucevic who will be out for up to 2 weeks and he will be replaced by Bismack Biyombo, who definitely is a better defensive player than Vucevic is. Will he be able to contain Andre Drummond underneath the basket and on the glass?

Consensus pick for this game would be Detroit, purely due to statistics and purely because Magic is the worst team in the NBA at the moment.

Vogel being replaced by Fisher is, at best, a questionable move. I don't think we'll be seeing the Magic pulled out of this tailspin anytime soon. Pistons get the win, easily, in my mind.

Absolutely questionable. Magic - a team who finished previous season with their best record in a while, suddendly becomes the worst team in the NBA and one of the lowest PPG teams, even after trading for a pure scorer in Reggie Jackson. It seems that Derek won't even start Reggie for this game.

Honestly, I cannot wait for the matchup. I am looking forward for Payton vs Reggie where Payton is defending. Pure scorer against a great defender. Also it's always fun to contain Fournier in this years' 2K, as he's sometimes heaving up the craziest 3 pointers and actually converting them.

I think it was solid all round. I really like Richardson as a player, he worked well for me in a past dynasty, but he shouldn't be relied on as a first option. Dude's a good supplemental scorer, stretches the floor well, but isn't consistent if his number is called too often.

I think he'll work well for you, though I hate giving up a 1st for him, at least it's in 2019 -- not in the deep classes of 17 or 18, which is good for you.
