Welcome to my newest dynasty thread! I haven't been able to keep up with my other ones but I will try my best to keep this going. It will be slow a bit for the next month but after that I have summer vacation so you'll see this a lot

This will be a historical, alternate universe franchise, I will not be telling any story or anything like that but I will be doing this dynasty like vtcha's and Sim World's. I chose the year 2005 because

A) The Sonics are in their last years as a franchise and I want to make some decisions to keep them alive.

B) I grew up in the 00s and doing this is just great for me as it brings many memories back as I play and write

C) Some what ifs, like the drafts and FAs and maybe even trades!?

A few things to note:

1) We will be starting at the 2005-2006 NBA Season

2. Re-Brand are being done to every team atm to keep them realistic

3) Contracts are I believe accurate as of 2005 so I will make the salary cap around 75ish M. I think that is fair

4) Draft picks have been reset back to every team.

Now, with all that out of the way ... let's begin.

2005 NBA Draft Recap: Jazz select Chris Paul with #1 overall pick

June 28th, 2005 | by NBA News

The Jazz would shock world tonight picking Chris Paul #1. The clear favorite was Marvin Williams or Andrew Bogut but the Jazz choose a young PG that will run their team for the coming years. Paul will join Carlos Boozer, AK47 and Okur as they build a young, upcoming team for the years to come.

Andrew Bogut, who was a top 3 pick for everyone dropped all the way to 8th to fall to New Orleans. New Orleans will be happy with this one. Marvin Williams, who has been named the next big thing has fallen to pick #15. The Big Apple will be delighted with a player to have the same potential LeBron James, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

Meanwhile, the 76ers have a great guard to pairi up with Allen Iverson, the 76ers barely missed the playoffs and got extremely lucky in the Lottery. The Sonics picked guard Luther Head, who looks like he will be a solid big man in the future. Another player who fell big was Hakim Warrick who fell to pick 29 to the New Jersey Nets.

Below is the full breakdown of the draft selections from each team.

Spoiler

EDIT: THE RE-BRANDS WERE NOT DONE AT THIS TIME. SO HORNETS ARE BOBCATS. THUNDER ARE SONICS AND PELICANS ARE HORNETS.
