The legacy of one of the greatest basketball players to have ever stepped onto the hardwood has concluded after 20 impressive years spent with one franchise. Kobe Bryant waved one final goodbye to those not only in the Staples Center that night, but to all those he had touched over the course of his career. He would join the likes of Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the lore of Los Angeles Lakers greats.

However, the sun still rose the next day and the question immediately became: Who's Next?

The team hosts a number of young guns that have the opportunity to carry the torch. D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, and now, Brandon Ingram.

This is their story.

Hola, OS! It sure has been a while since I committed to playing through a dynasty, and I also think that I have never actually done a basketball dynasty. However, I see all these talented chisers that have gotten me in the zone to lace it up and play some b-ball.

With 2k18 just around the corner, my expectation is to finish hopefully one season before it comes out. I severely doubt I'll be acquiring the game on release date, so have no worries of this finishing off early.

I plan on playing each and every game and providing interesting updates, not so much like TrekFan (whose work is inspiring and I am an absolute fan of) but I do plan on getting in-depth when time allows it.

Anyways, enough of me talking. Let's get this show on the road.

The Los Angeles Lakers went through the 2015-16 season struggling to string together wins, ultimately finishing with a 17-65; the worst in franchise history.

The few high points of the season were Kobe Bryant going on his farewell tour and ultimately dropping 60 points in the final game of the season against the Utah Jazz. Rookies D'Angelo Russell and Larry Nance Jr had impressive seasons fresh out of the 2015 NBA Draft.

The Los Angeles Lakers, now riding on a D'Angelo Russell/Jordan Clarkson backcourt, hope to slowly improve as well as to integrate rookie Brandon Ingram from Duke University into the Laker program. It is currently unclear if Kobe Bryant will have a running role with the Lakers.

Looking forward to it! Where the Lakers go and how they develop their young talent (can they? Not a franchise strong suit, LAL has traditionally traded for guys in their primes to lead them to titles) is going to be fascinating.
