Antonio Tarver vs. Lateef Kayode

Anybody interested in this fight? As some of you know it came about because of Tarver's criticisms of Kayode when he was in boxing commentator mode.

Very inactive Winky Wright (over 3 years) faces very untested Peter Quillin on one of the undercards.

It's on regular ShoTime-my guide has the card from 8PM-12:30 AM CST. I'm assuming Wright-Quillin starts at or around 8.

Yeah, Wright was overpowered and "out quicked" by Quillin and an aging Tarver showed you how good Kayode is.

Tarver was actually stalking power hitting Kayode throughout the fight and in the middle rounds he shook him up with some left crosses. It was an allright fight, but Tarver's nuts if he thinks he can challenge one of the Klitschkos for a belt......Wait, I take that back-I'm sure Tarver is just trying to get a fight with one of them for some cash-then survive.

Winky Wright just announced his retirement-good move.

Wright hasnt looked good in years, sadly his career was wasted fighting in obscurity and opponents ducking him.

Problem was Wright hadn't fought since 2009. He actually WASTED a nice portion of his career.

I'm not the biggest Tarver fan, can't stand him. For the Johnson to call him a HOFer was sickening. That being said, I secretly hope he gets what he's asking for so a Klitschko can end his career.

Not sickened, more (WTF?). Kind of lowering the bar for the HOF.

HAHA, Exactly. I chalked it up to "announcer loyalty" but even that wasn't enough because anyone who knows boxing knows he is no HOFer. They owe boxing fans more than that crazy comment(even if I didn't take it seriously).

What kind of sickened me was when Johnson was giving Al Bernstein his just due during the end of the in ring post fight interview with Tarver. Tarver acknowledged Al and the interview should have wrapped up neatly with Bernstein as the focus, but Tarver through a few more lame self serving comments in there. I was thinking, "SHUT UP already!"
