Re: 2009 Auburn Tigers Football

is it possible for Auburn to land the No. 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 11th runningback in the nation (Rivals)? All of them have AU at the top, right now. What's your thoughts?

No.

I'm fine with 2 as long as one is Lache. Ideally, I'd like Lache and Lattimore, but getting Grant would at least annoy Husker, so I'd be fine with that.

I think Lache is about as much of a lock you can get at this point.

i think two are scheduled to pick by the summer, Dyer and Grant so if they both go AU then you say Lache is a Lock and he's been trying to package deal himself with Lattimore. IDK. i can't sign all of them on the video game. we'll see.

ALSO, Can/Will/Should Auburn be at least a 9 win team this season?

I doubt Grant would commit to Auburn in the summer because I doubt the coaching staff would give him any assurances that they wouldn't take a combination of the other three.

I could see a situation where the staff tells Dyer that if he commits, they won't sign Lattimore.

Re: 2009 Auburn Tigers Football

I'm pretty sure Grant is going to Florida. Lache is most likely coming to Auburn and recently rumors have started that he might commit within the next month.

I can't see our coaches turning down either any of the big 3. I could see a situation like Cebby said above, where they might tell Dyer that they would not sign Lattimore if Dyer commits. That way we could be locked down for 2 of them.

Re: 2009 Auburn Tigers Football

Just going on where we stand with guys right now....this could very well be our lineup at the skill positions going into the 2010 season.

QB-Tyrik Rollison, Neil Caudle, Kodi Burns
RB-Mario Fannin, Onterrio McCalebb, Michael Dyer, Lache Seastrunk
WR-Phillip Pierre-Louis, Tim Hawthorne, DeAngelo Benton, Emory Blake, Jeremy Richardson, Antonio Goodwin, Harry Adams
TE-Phillip Lutzenkirchen

That would also be with a senior LT in Ziemba, a senior C in Pugh...both of whom have All Conference Ability and "lots of stars".

Now..if you go by "stars" as your basis for talent....that group in 2010 could be the most talented array of skill players assembled at one time since Jason, Carnell, Ben, Devin, Anthony, Courtney, Ronnie, and Cooper.

That kind of shows you how quickly how "talent-void" program can replenish the ranks.

Land the guys I mentioned above (of whom we are the clear favorites or have already had them commit to us) and that is an absolutely sick group to work with for Gus and his offensive staff.
