Improving accuracy of passes
i am still having problems getting yards after the catch. i guess my main problem i when i throw to a reciever crossing over the middle of the field he always has to jump or something to catch the pass and the animation takes so long he gets tackled immediately. is there something i could do to make my pass more accurate. are sliders the only way to go and would that even help. i am loving every apspect of the game but i am playing a dynasty with louisiana tech and a big part of their offense is taking short passes and breaking them for long gains and i am not seeing hardly any of that even against teams like tulsa and rice.Tags: None -
Re: Improving accuracy of passes
One thing to do (if you are not already) is to make sure your QB is set before you throw the ball. What I do is when I hike it, I don't press back on the dpad, I let the computer do the drop back. You can also lead your receivers with the d-pad.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Improving accuracy of passes
Yep, I drop back after the snap, then I let go of the analog stick to set the QB's feet. This will vastly improve the accuracy of throws.Comment

Re: Improving accuracy of passes
i am pretty sure my feet are set. does it help if they are set for a couple of seconds. are you guys hitting receivers in stride and they are able to keep running without being tackled? i have experimented with leading and stuff like that. what if i throw to a guy running a crossing pattern and hit down. will i throw it lower so he doesnt have to jump? i cant play right now cause i am at work.Comment

Re: Improving accuracy of passes
i have tried all kinds of teams, even rex grossman and the gators, but i am still having this problem. do yall play on all american.Comment

Re: Improving accuracy of passes
I play on All American too, if you can't get yards after the catch that is because the defense is hitting/tackling your receiver right after the catch is made, try pump faking R2. But if you keep doing the same thing over and over the CPU will adapt to it so you have to keep it mixed up.Comment

Re: Improving accuracy of passes
I play on AA with the sliders increased for the cpu on offense and defense. On default AA, I beat Miami 52-21 and Grossman had over 400 yards passing.Comment

Re: Improving accuracy of passes
i have to admit i probably havent been mixing it up enough because i am trying to practice this one skilljbut i do mix it up a little. i throw outs, slants, crossing routes and the occasionaly bomb. can some one give me an instance or play they run that they can remember catching a crossing route and taking it to the house. all your help is greatly appreciated as usual guys.Comment

Re: Improving accuracy of passes
With the Gators playbook, choose the formation with 5 recievers and no backs. There should be three recievers to your right, two on the line of scrimmage and the other just slightly behind the two. Look around for a play where the front two recievers cut to the middle while the third reciever drifts off towards the right. Most of the time he will be wide open which can lead to a huge gain.Comment

Re: Improving accuracy of passes
i will check it out. i like the 5 wide receiver sets a lot. are you talking shotgun or under center.Comment

Re: Improving accuracy of passes
As you pass the ball, hit a direction. Meaning if your receiver is running from left to right, and is the X receiver, as you're hitting X also hit right with the analog or D-pad. That'll lead the guy a little more to the right, and should hit the guy in stride assuming you don't overthrow him.
Practice around with using the directions to help lead your passes, and it should vastly help.Comment
