On another note, I spent my freshman year writing sports at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and I was very glad when Norm Chow got the head gig. I hope he does well there, but gets smashed by SC in the opener this season. I wonder what the new-look Mountain West is gonna be like. Sucks for Idaho and New Mexico State getting left out in the cold, but if they didn't suck so bad, maybe they wouldn't be on their way to playing FCS football.

Yeah it still has to do with that Willie Lyles stuff. I don't think the penalties are going to be massive or anything—Chip Kelly wouldn't have stayed otherwise. I'd just like to see it put to bed.

I think OSU-like penalties would be in the ballpark since they caught him in the middle of a cover-up of recruiting violations involving street agents.

I doubt they'll get the a bowl ban since. The NCAA has really been spinning tires on the investigation. More likely a few schollies lost and probation.

When I said OSU-like penalties, I didn't mean the bowl ban because that was brought on by things beyond the cover-up.

Chip Kelly deserves a show-cause though, just like JT.
