    Tips for an NCAA Rookie?

Hey guys. I've been playing the NBA games for years and now I've bought the college game. I was wondering if you guys can give me some tips as to how the rules vary from NBA's rules and how I can succeed as a coach?

    Thanks!

First thing is, unlike the NBA, college basketball is a passing game. You score by moving the ball around, not trying to create one on one matchups with your dribble. The defense is completely different too. Zones are very important in the college game. Learn how to effectively rotate on defense, and you'll be unstoppable. As for rules, 5 foul instead of 6, no illegal defense for camping out in the lane, and there is no charge circle. The rules are very simliar, but the two games are quite different in the game play. Use the gym rat mode to learn the different looks and plays. This will help tremendously.

Yep. And don't forget about the 5 Second Closely Guarded rule as well.

When there's a tie-up in college, the rule is alternate possession instead of a jump ball.

5 fouls in college instead of 6.

The penalty system is different. The bonus is 1+1 and the double bonus is two shots. Shooting fouls are the same except in college there's no continuation like in the NBA.

But there is some insane continuation in this game if you get fouled at the start of a long shot animation.
