I began adding all my hoosiers names in the game, and then began playing, only to find their names on the backs of their jerseys! This is a big no-no in hoosierland, is there anyway to turn it off? Im always one that laughs at certain people when they complain about sock colors and so on, but player names on the back of IU jerseys really throws me off, and kinda stinks to be honest. Hopefully I can turn them off. Any ideas?

No solution yet. Last years version they didnt put the names on the back, I wonder why they would this year.Originally posted by jraider32Did you ever find a solution for this?"Basketball may have been born in Massachusetts, but it grew up in Indiana." - James NaismithComment

The names show up on every team. Texas Tech shouldnt have names, but they do too. I know this not a huge deal, but it really makes a difference. I love 2k games, but I dont think they have ever had a title without a surplus of bugs.Comment

Re: Player Names on Jerseys
This is actually quite a debacle. If I remember correctly in previous versions of the game it only placed the names on the back of jerseys of teams that it's present on in real life. Now when you put the rosters in, it puts the names on the back of every jersey. Stupid mistake by the devs.Comment

Personally, I'd rather have the right fight songs for all the schools, if not the big name division 1 programs. Not having the Kansas fight song in the game is a crime!PSN: sportdan30

debacle Function: noun
:a : a great disaster b : a complete failure
Now, call me crazy but I don't see the failure of the dev team to catch this as a "debacle". Nor do I see it as a "stupid mistake". I might even take issue with the statement "surplus of bugs" and the implication that 2K games all contain such. Such judgments are subjective.
The issue of names on some jerseys comes form the fact that CH inherits this art from NBA, and NBA likely uses names on all of their jerseys. Which probably means we failed to take them off certain teams. We are aware Indiana doesn't use names, we probably forgot to change a line of data in a spreadsheet. A very massive spreadsheet, mind you. No excuse, but probably could be classified as an oversight rather than a stupid mistake.
But debacle?Comment

The game is no doubt the closest thing to the experience of real college basketball, but some oversights like this contribute to an uncomfortable feeling of many teams that don't have names on the back of their jerseys. It's common for college teams in many sports to leave the names off jerseys because of the added emphasis on the "team" game in college. Regardless, it's just something that will go into making next year's game better. Obviously debacle was a bit of an exaggeration, but if the team you play your dyansty with in this game doesn't have names on their jerseys in real life, it's quite frustrating.Comment

thanks muerte.. may I suggest a slider setting under team options "name on back of jersey, yes/no". A user preference type of thing.. Just thought I'd throwsome ideas out toward ya:wink: Of course this idea includes almost zero thought in the hard/extra work it takes to code that into the game.. so my apologies before hand. all i know is, it takes giving up somethings to gain in others. and for me, imo, this isnt even an issue to be worried about. but from my point of view, if its easier to add in a user preference slider rather than asking each school for jersey info, than i'd think twice about the options.
