WWE just got a 2K14...wow

STILL no news of a new college hoops game, let alone one created by Visual Concepts...yet I wake up this morning to see ****ing WWE getting a 2K14 made by, who else, Visual Concepts.

So frustrated I can't even begin to explain it. Is the WWE market really that much bigger than college hoops??

Just be patient. Almost everyone agrees that if another college basketball game is to happen (and find it hard to believe that it wouldn't) it would be until after the lawsuit over at EA is cleared up, and it wouldn't be until the next gen consoles arrive.

That would be a perfect opportunity for a developer to start out fresh. With March Madness continuing to rake in so much money, it won't be long before another producer gives college basketball a shot.

WWE = global phenomenon with a huge global market. College Hoops has a decent fanbase and than an influx of fans during March Madness.

Yes WWE is a bigger market then College Basketball. It also helps that the WWE is year-round entertainment where College Basketball tends to gain a large market around March Madness time.

Besides, if the WWE games, now that 2k has picked them up, sell well it COULD eventually lead to better chances of a new College Hoops game (just in the sense that more profitable franchises=more ability to take chances on franchise that may been seen not very profitable).

Though I thought it was Yukes who was going to make the game? Or did Yukes/guys from Yukes get put into Visual Concepts?

But yes, WWE is gargantuan. Especially in the key game buying demos compared to NCAA hoops.

WWE beats out NCAA in all methods of profit.

If College Hoops comes out on consoles ever again, it would give me a reason to even think about buying a new console but I doubt it even happens. I'm pretty much done with console gaming now as it is.

I could see it as a Arcade game on live or something. I would be shocked if anyone released a new college hoops game.

I couldn't even see that at this point. This is why I bought Draft Day Sports: College Basketball 2.

I have not heard of this game. Just looking at it, is it like Football Manager only in a basketball setting? Could you tell me a little more about how it plays?

It is a text sim like FM but there is no visual graphics like in FM. You can play out the games in a 2D view though. Check out this thread at OS to see some more info on it:

Looked at the thread. Interesting, but seems inactive for awhile. However, I tried to download the demo and give the game a shot but the GUI is making it unplayable for me at the moment.



Can you possibly point me in the direction of how to fix this?

The boards for the game aren't the most active, but there are three die hards over there that will answer any question you have: Wayne23, Point Guard and CoachC. If you post a question, guarantee one of those three will have an answer for you.

Also, just released today was a mod with all real life coaches and their coaching records. You can find that in the mods section.

Nice. I did manage to figure it out just after posting. Came again to post to say things like "gah I have no idea how to buy recruit reports or set a travel schedule because it's grayed out." I wish the documentation explained things a little better and/or there was some kind of beginner's guide. This is reminding me of how in deep I was with football manager when I first started.
