Scrambled PS2

I've been out of gaming for a few years and decided to turn on the old PS2 the other day. Unfortunately when I turn it on it becomes really scrambled (think like those TV channels that you have to buy, like HBO, you can hear it and can semi-see the screen but it's all scrambled and fuzzy and orange).

A) Does anyone know what I need to buy/fix in order for this to not be scrambled? The sound is fine.

B) does EB Games/Gamestop,etc. fix problems like this?

Check or replace cables. The PS2 has lowered in price so much that unless Sony will help,it would probably be best to trade it in on a new/refurb. Best Buy might be of service,don't know about EB and such,really doubt it though. I'd get a solid estimate if you ask someone to repair it first.
