wii360 remote or not, I'm sure it could also be used for the 360 camera.

Game install is the biggest thing on the update, hopefully it is true.

yeah, and it'll sell more HDD's, so why not MS? I'm already at 8 gigs left after game saves, DLC, demos, and other content. I won't whine though. I'd gladly accept any gesture MS makes to move towards allowing developers to require HDD's.

If it is true I'm also pretty sure MS will assign guidelines on how to use the HDD. So developers don't abuse the system by installing 5GB of data on the HDD.

Although, 1-2GB for a game like Mass Effect wouldn't be bad. For those that have the Elite anyway.

I'm quite interested to know how much better the game install will make the playing. Most of these games are a pain because of the massive loading screens that show up out of nowhere. When does it come out?

If they push this, then the prices of the HDD's need to come down drastically. They're ridiculously over-priced. And MS likes it that way knowing you have to buy it from them.

That is of course if you want to risk opening the thing up.

Push wat, its called optional. No one forcing you to buy a harddrive from MS. It probably wont be for every game and ill doubt it be able to do it for games already released. So far i think there are only 1 or 2 games that require a harddrive to play for the 360.

I don't care if it is optional, they're selling the HDD's at a premium when there isn't any reason for it.

Very similar to Sony's Memory Stick Pro Duo fiasco with the PSP. They've smartened up since.

they're available so you either end up paying more to get what you could have got if you bought a premium, or if you want to download tons of content off Live. I personally think they should make the HDD's as cheap as they could possibly get them, as it'll only encourage people to go and download more things off Live. Obviously MS feels differently, as they gouge on more accessories than that.

Even at that point, they are robbing the consumer. I bought my 500GB external drive for PC last year at $129. I hate that these companies are just gouging.

On the latest Major Nelson podcast, they said they have never seen this list before and that these things wouldn't be apart of a dashboard update.
